37 Tasting Notes
Okay, I love eating the little pinapple pieces out of the tin.
Aside from the pineapple pieces, I love the overall flavour of this tea. Its fruityness is quite strong and powerful, but not too overpowering. And the dry smell is soooo good. One morning I accedentally left the lid open, and when I came home from school my entire kitchen smelled like this tea. It was quite exciting.
Hmm… the smell of this tea sort of reminds me of Ceckmate… I guess it is the coconut. But whenever I brew tea, i like to smell the spoon after i scoop the dry leaves into the tea bag; I think the best smell is on the spoon… lol.
Anywho, I would like to start of by saying that since I love coconut and especially Pina Coladas, my expectations for this tea were so high that they were low. What I mean by this is that I didnt think this tea would match my expectations and would be a dissapointment, because I did not expect it to actually taste like pina colada. I am glad to say that this tea ACTUALLY met my expectations!!! Oh my goodness! had it iced and it had the exact aroma and flavour of pina colada. I did not expect the flavour to be that accurate! I definately tasted the coconut and pineapple, but I also got a hint of caramel. Everytime I took a sip I would turn to my friend and say “OMG this tastes AMAZING,” yeah, it was that good! I definately have to stock up on this one, I can see myself sipping this tea all year round. I cannot wait to try it hot!
Oh yes! I cannot believe how much I enjoyed this tea! I remember when I took the first sip, I said to my friend “I am so rating this 100” but my friend didnt know what I was talking about hehe
Good thing we don’t go around rating people. I shudder to think how God would rate me although in love that never changes and is always completely 100 or I would dispair.
Oh my goodness! I though I would not like this tea because the dry leaf smell really throws me off. I bought it for my sister because she does adore this tea, and I asked her if i could try some because I was sort of curious. Wow! This is a goooood tea. Oh man it tastes like an upgraded version of grocery store honey lemon tea. This will definately stay in the cupboards. I bought this tea for my sister but I have a feeling I will be drinking it all myself…
Oh dear. I’m sorry you see my comments as rude, if I was making typos I’d want someone to correct me with a smile and not bring attention to it, but I guess that’s just me. I find the comment “no one ever reviews it” rude when it has 54 reviews, but I guess you meant that only the people you follow count. shrugs Diff’rent strokes for diff’rent folks, I suppose.
Mmmmm this tastes just like a normal tea should. I get that hibiscus a lot and i do enjoy it. The mango is more of an after taste. To me this tastes more like a tea you would get in the grocery store, not loose leaf. Its really good but nothing memorable. I think this tea would be more appreciated by someone who is not so passionate about tea, if you know what I mean. It is pretty good but something I would serve to guests. Not bad with a little agave nectar.
update
I think I am going to have to bump up the rating a bit. I have a little sample pack of this from my online order and I decided I would put it in my Timolino travel mug today. Wow this tea smells so fruity, it really brightened up my day. Everyday I bring a different tea from my collection to school and my friends always ask to smell it. This one by far is the best smelling according to my friends.
Oh man did I ever think I wasnt going to like this one because I do not like jelly beans at all… I am suprized to say that I am pretty pleased with the spring 2012 collection… I didnt think I would like it but they are pretty good!
So this tea. Okay so I love coconut & hate jellybeans, lucky for me I didnt get any jellybeans in my sample pack. Oh man does this ever smell good when it is brewed. I did not expect such a nice strawberry scent. And it tastes like strawberries with a sweet hit of coconut. These flavours blend REALLY well with the red and green rooibos. Oh man its good. Strawberry is my favourite fruit and i just lovelovelove coconut. This would make a great night time tea because it is zero caffene; or just a good afternoon pick-me-up because it tastes really sweet and jolly i suppose lol. Oh no, I promised myself I would stop buying teas but I might just have to stalk up on this one… sorry mom!
Mmmmm smells good. I think I will ice some later.
Anyways, I was kinda disapointed when the spring collection came as my free samples with my online order of Southern Belle (i totally forgot i ordered 100g, thank goodness I did, i love that one)!
Back to the samplers, I decided to try daydreamer first and wow Im glad I got that sampler! I lovelovelove green tea and luckily I can actually taste the green tea in this one. I actually followed the directions properly on this one (i never follow the directions), and i wish i didnt follow them. I like my tea extra steeped, especially green teas. Anyways I do enjoy this tea and it just might have a permanent spot on my shelves. (:
Ohhhhhhh the taste of greeeeen teaaaaaaa <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Oh this is good! Man I was nervous to try this one but now I have nothing to worry about because I think this will be a perminant tea on my shelf. Its so sweet (but not sugary) and so fruity. When I first sniffed the dry leaves it smelled strongly of cherry cough medicine. Once its brewed it has such a nice subtle cherry scent. Tastes real, not like artificial cherries! And ohhhh how it is blended with coconut (my absolute most favourite flavour in the whole entire universe) creates a balance like no other. I want to try this one iced and I hope it will have good results. ThAnK yOu DaViDsTeA! You made my life.
Uh oh! Exciting? Aren’t you afraid it’s gone stale?
Well obviously it didnt considering i had a perfect cup of it this morning…
