DAVIDsTEA Advent Calendar 2021 – Day 16
Late start to notes today! Probably because I don’t have any black teas. :P
I actually have a 50g bag of this tea that I added to a teaware order with one of my frequent steeper rewards. I like cranberry, and it sounded interesting. Haven’t opened it yet though, just feeding the stash… XD
Anyway! This is an interesting one. To me, it tastes almost exactly like Smarties (or Rockets, for you Canadians). Which isn’t a terrible thing, it’s just a very specific flavor ha ha. So as you might imagine, it’s quite candylike with a chalky powdered sugar sort of vibe and a pop of tartness. I don’t think I would specifically guess cranberry, but the orange part is there. Coconut? Not really.
Anyway, I’m still drinking and enjoying it, so I guess I like Smarties tea. XD
Flavors: Candy, Chalk, Orange, Powdered Sugar, Sweet, Tart

Aren’t they the same as British smarties, chocolate with a candy shell sort of like an M&M?
Yeah, pretty much though I don’t recall the taste of the British ones.
Rockets are the pastel candy rolls—nothing like Smarties. Have I misunderstood?
In the US, Rockets are called Smarties. The ones that are sort of powdery little discs that come in a cellophane roll like you said. So those are the ones that this tea tasted like, he he.

Yep, I’ve lived in all four corners of the US, and it was Smarties everywhere.
If you want to learn Czech name for them, they are lentilky. Probably because it was caled lentils back then and we just adapted it to Czech.
