657 Tasting Notes
I’ve been terrible for months about logging my teas, work distracts me, not just from logging in but from being adventurous in my tea drinking. This is an old stand by that I keep coming back to, easy to steep and hard to mess up. I hope everyone in the community is well and, trite as this may sound under the circumstances, that we can all keep getting our favorite teas. A comforting beverage helps a lot in stressful times.
I’ve been so busy I haven’t posted in ages (missed ya’ll!), but I just got a whole bunch of tea in and now I need to keep track. Normally I wouldn’t order Republic of Tea (they’re pricey for what you’re actually getting) but I need teabags for work, and I remembered liking this flavor a lot in college. Wow, my taste buds have changed since then! Stash’s Peach is better than this and way cheaper.
I’ve neglected my tea log so much, thanks to work, but I’ve also been neglecting my tea (again thanks to work). Mostly I’ve just been having Harney and Sons tea bags over and over, or Tazo when I’m really desperate. Hard times, folks.
Anyway, I did pick up this herbal loose leaf tea in a little shop and it seemed like a good time to check in. The tea is a little on the light side, but it has good flavor, a pleasant balance mainly of cinnamon and lemongrass. It smells kind of like cherry but doesn’t taste cherry, though there is a touch of fruitiness.
