2537 Tasting Notes
I don’t know why they included so much hibiscus. If you cold brew this, you can taste a nice coconut flavor, and the hibiscus is toned down. Hot, it tastes fine, just too much hibiscus to be what it’s supposed to be. I’ve had much better pina colada teas. I would not repurchase this.
Love the almond flavor in this. You can also taste the black tea underneath. It’s definitely brisk! A little bitter, but I never time my steeps, so that’s probably my fault. I don’t prefer this over other almond teas I’ve had, but it does taste good! Thanks to Cameron B for yet another sample.
Growing up, I drank licorice tea all the time. This is my first time trying the version from Stash. I’m happy to report that it tastes like the flavor I love and expect. I do not like licorice mixed with real tea, but as an herbal, it’s so lovely. It’s sweet on its own, it pleasantly coats your mouth, the flavor is strong. I’ll say that I didn’t notice where the “spice” comes in. Maybe the slight warming in the mouth is from a hint of spice… But anyway, it’s been a few years since I’ve had a licorice tea on my shelf, and I’m happy for its return!
You may be one of the only other people on Steepster I’ve seen besides myself and Derk that likes Licorice Root! (It seems to be one of those ingredients along with Hibiscus and Stevia that seems to be universally abhorred around here, heh). I love it, too! (I also like fennel and anise which have quite licorice tasting notes to them!) I’ve never had this tea, though I did have a nice licorice spice blend from T2 once, and my favorite sore throat tea, Margaret’s Soother from TeaSource, is peppermint, clove, and licorice root, and it’s amazingly tasty, such a simple blend but each comes out just right (and if you do have a sore throat, the mix of menthol/licorice and touch of clove really is such a nice balm).
This one is from meowster. It tastes mostly like plain black tea. Granted, I don’t know what maracuja tastes like, but I don’t notice any other flavors. It tastes decent, but if I wanted plain black tea, I would choose something else. I really like maracuja mango from DavidsTea, and I wish this were more like that!
This tea is like peach rings. It’s light and lovely. On the website, there are tons of negative reviews for this one, but I think those people were looking for a Teavana substitute, and since I never tried Beach Bellini, I had no expectations to be let down!
Got this one from meowster. I like it much better than the peach oolong. You can really taste the peach! The flavor lingers for a while; it’s nice! The black is a bit weak, which I actually think I prefer. I had it both hot and room temperature, and I enjoyed it both ways.
I don’t usually allow myself to break into teas the day I receive them, but I’ve been out of decaf Earl grey for so long, and my life was incomplete! I think my mouth is used to the flavor of decaf Paris since I’ve had so much of that…I think I don’t like regular Earl grey as much as I like that. So anyway, this tea is pretty floral, and the black is light. It turned into a nice latte. I’d probably try some other brands before rebuying this one, but it was tasty.
Nice light melon flavor with a touch of mint. I would’ve liked even more mint, but it was still good. I basically drank this one every day, and now it’s gone, so I’ve been adding mint to my various other fruit teas to get my minty fruity fix. I’ve had better teas of this variety, but I could see myself repurchasing this one day.
