I really enjoy this tea, but I don’t think of it as a green tea. It tastes of strong fruit notes. The only con I see with this is if you oversteep it, it turns bitter very quickly. I find if I steep it for about a minute its just right.

So this is probably one of my favorite teas from TEavana. It is just amazing. Starting from the look it is an excellent blend of red to green leaves. THe aroma is powerful it hits you right square in the nose almost if going toe to toe with Anderson Silva. Next the look when pouring it into a cup. It gives off an alluring(No pun intended) Red color. It is almost sexy to watch the tea pour from the pot into the cup. Thirdly the taste. It is divine. The Tea is good by itself.. but it makes Other Teas taste wonderful too. I blended this with the god awful Pear Luna.. and it actually made the tea better. I am not sure if it was because it masked the flavor or if the tea just naturally brings out the better flavor of things. IT is really sweet, and tasty. I do recommend trying this tea out.

It has a very fruity/flowery smell (I’m not good at picking out individual notes yet… I’m a relatively new tea drinker). I can definitely taste the green tea behind the fruity notes though, which I love. Flavored green tea is my favorite kind, and this has to be one of my overall favorites

I tried this mixed with Monkey Picked Oolong. I drank it iced and it was sooo tasty. I will definitely try this blend again!

Just bought this last week during my Teavana spree. It…doesn’t taste like anything? Like, I get a very small hint of cherry, but I feel like I’m just drinking red, sour water.

My mom has asked me multiple times to make a cherry tea, but I loathe the idea of having to taste a cherry tea more than once to figure out its strengths and weaknesses. So my way out of it was to buy some :P
Not only is this tea balanced well, but anyone who understands how to measure and time tea well will be able to control the strength of the liquid that is produced from this tea. I have already brewed this a few times and the aroma from it is very sweet, floral, and even alluring. The taste is just as you would expect from it, so for those who are looking for the tasting notes of this tea and know how to brew their cups to their liking, I don’t see any issue with this blend.

(I wish I knew how much sugar was in each steep though)

HI AGAIN. I GOT THE JOB! So now I have to find a new apartment in Atlanta. That’s kind of going horribly because there’s a service that finds places and will check for specials and the guy basically wasted my day by not sending that until 4:50 today…place I’m really interested in of course closed their office at 5. I need to move hopefully in 17 days otherwise I’m going to have such a time crunch if I have to wait until the next weekend. Ugh.

Anyway! I’m trying to drink more stuff while I also work on getting rid of stuff. I am going to be doing the whole garage sale-esque thing and I’ve started working on it but it’s a bit time consuming.

I even bought a new tumbler at work today for like $7.70 so that maybe I will have more. Which I am going to work on while I move…my friend said wine makes you more productive though, ha.

So I bought the set of 6 oz of this tea, plus a nice stoneware tumbler and a tin back when it was on clearance. I’m pretty sure I had this tea before from someone, and I liked it so I figured it made sense iced. And it was good…I sweetened it just a bit and sucked it down.

I always thought the cherry might make this taste like medicine but it’s just refreshing. It turns hibiscus pink but it’s not too tart, or maybe making the decision to sweeten right away took away from that.

Just definitely a good tea to have iced since it’s suddenly decided to be summer again here. More on the fruit side than the green tea side but of course it is Teavana.

congratulations!

Congrats! Atlanta is a big city for sure.

momo

yeah I specifically asked for finding a place in an area that’ll be “new” despite being here 5 years. He did a decent job so hopefully one of the ones I REALLY like works out!

Cold brewed this tea overnight in the fridge. It brewed up nice and strong. I could have added some sugar, but it had a nice flavor without it. Was actually trying to use this one up, might have to order more some day! Lol

Love this green tea. It has a tart flavour and you can really taste the cherry in it. Will probably re-buy once my large tin is emptied! Be warned though, if you steep it for too long it will be very bitter.

EDIT— Meh. I can’t say I love this tea as much as I used to. Probably DEFINITELY won’t be a re-buy. It’s just.. bleh. Not very flavourful. After drinking it for a while, you just get a sour, bitter tasting with a hint of cherry green tea. It’s nothing spectacular. Don’t waste your money…

Cherry is one of those flavours that I think I would like in green tea in theory, but in practice have never found one that worked for me. It’s so hard to include that flavour in a blend without having it taste fake or medicinal.

Unfortunately, Sakura Allure is another tea that fails to make the grade. It smells okay, but there’s no heft in the taste – maybe that’s the bamboo cutting its way in, adding a sort of vegetal sharpness to the blend? Not sure. I added some honey to sweeten things up and it’s still not speaking to me. Ah well.

Thanks to darby for the sample!

Yeah, this was a flop for me as well.

And the thing is, I LOVE cherries! I so want to try a cherry green tea that rocks. I’m considering Miz by Nina’s Paris, but I have such a hard time figuring out how to steep their teas properly.

keychange

Hmmm. I bet lupicia has a cherry green that’s spot on.
