From Stash Tea

Spicy cinnamon and juicy apple perfectly complement each other in this tempting blend that brings hot apple pie to mind – all the taste with none of the calories! A touch of chamomile adds a soothing touch to this appealing, aromatic tea.

Ingredients: cinnamon, hibiscus, chamomile, natural apple flavor.

This is tea 24/50 I bought in a Stash Assortment. A very weak cinnamon tea with almost undetectable fruit in the background.

It smelt too suspiciously like an apple pie when I first opened the foil packs, so I was suspicious. But after brewing in a pot, I was not disappointed at all.
The apple and possibly hibiscus brings a tart and fruity flavour to the back of the tongue, while the cinnamon brings a very reminiscent scent and taste of apple pie or cinnamon pastries onto the palate. Since I brewed it in a pot, I have had it hot, lukewarm and cold. I dare say these is one of those teas that stands up to tasting across all three types of temperatures.
Faint floral notes linger behind to round off this very good tea.

My boyfriend was given this tea by his buddy at work. I was excited to try it as I LOVE the apple and cinnamon combo. This tea smells sweet like apples and cinnamon. Such a lovely scent. However, I don’t taste much apple or cinnamon as it is overpowered by the taste of hibiscus. Hibiscus is pretty much all I taste actually. This is so not my cup of tea. But it was nice to try!

Before I made the switch to loose leaf, this was one of my favorite bagged teas. I’ve been curious how many of these teas still hold up now that my palate has changed so much. I can’t stand the taste of teabags anymore, so I’ve been opening up the bags and dumping the (very low-quality) tea into my gravity-well infuser for steeping.

Surprisingly, I still really enjoy this tea! It actually tastes just like the Spice and Tea Exchange Cinnamon Plum loose leaf tea I have, only the plum flavor is replaced with apple. It has a warm, slightly tart hibiscus base, with some fruity sweet apple notes, and a warmth of cinnamon spice that lingers in every sip. The tea feels very much like a thick fruit cider. It doesn’t remind me much of apple cider, as hibiscus is the dominant flavor, but I enjoy it as a fruity, spicy winter drink. This tea still holds up.

I received a single bag of this with a fiber arts swap. Have a mentioned that I have had a consistent slight sense of smell for a little over a month? It’s very slight, and a lot of the time I can’t even tell what it is that I’m smelling (although somehow I always know what I’m smelling when I clean the cat box) When I tore open the packet, I could smell cinnamon. Mmmm. One of my favorite scents. Really, it smelled delicious. It smelled good brewing too. The taste, however, is disappointing. I can taste cinnamon, and I think I can taste a tang of apple, but I’m not a fan of chamomile, and I think that might be what tipped this for me. Also, I get a sort of dry mouth feel that I sometimes get from cinnamon. All in all, glad to have tried it, but I won’t be buying any more.

I love this tea. It has a very nice, soft scent and a sweet, comforting flavour. I would describe this as an Autumn/ Winter tea. The Apple/Cinnamon combination is noticeable and goes well together. The tea turns purple when you add milk.

Cinnamon, apple and chamomile turned out to be a great flavor combination. This was one of my favorites. The cinnamon apple flavor was definitely the most prominent and the Chamomile was more of a background flavor.

My experience with Stash tea is pretty hit-or-miss; however, when a birthday offer showed up in my inbox, I had a hard time resisting. I’m such a sucker for discounts. I don’t really have a favorite Stash Tea, so I ended up buying a couple of sampler packs.

Stash Tea’s Cinnamon Apple Chamomile herbal tea was the first tea I tried from my stash (har har, see what I did there?). When I first started brewing this tea, it filled up the room with the most delicious apple cinnamon aroma. It reminded of the apple cinnamon oatmeal I used to eat in the mornings before going to school, so it was particularly comforting. The ingredients include: cinnamon, hibiscus, chamomile, and natural apple flavor, which all seem pretty tempting, but I thought the tea was pretty bland. I didn’t pick up the apple flavor, and I missed the spice of the cinnamon. I’ve never tried chamomile tea, so I can’t honestly say whether or not that flavor came through or not.

I really enjoyed this. It reminds me of the spiced apple cider that my in-laws make at Christmastime. I don’t really taste the chamomile much, but the cinnamon and apple taste very good, and are complemented by just enough tartness from the hibiscus. I will definitely be buying more of this

This is a really nice tea (especially with a spoonful of honey!). The taste reminds me of apple pie (but without the calories). All the flavours come through and in the right balance. I generally leave the teabag in until I have finished drinking it.
