9 Tasting Notes

NEW ZEALAND TEA IS AMAZING. I really like this tea chilled, sweetened with stevia, the mixed with a little bit of Perrier or San Pellegrino. Weird I know. But it’s like a green tea ginger ale that doesn’t affect my darn type 1 diabetes because it won’t spike my blood sugar. It also tastes lovely hot as well. Awesome for when you have a cold.

I thought this tea was nice. Not brilliant, but okay. Then again, nothing will ever compare to the green tea I was given by some Taiwanese exchange students. So every green tea I try will have to be amazing to meet the mark. I didn’t get the “tropical” flavours out of this tea. But it didn’t taste “off” as some of the other posters suggested. I will warn you though, these leaves are huge when they were opened. I didn’t think that I used that many when I dropped them into my Libré Tea glass. But alas, when the water hit them I swear they took up half of the space in the mug.

In conclusion. Good tea. Will I buy again? Probably. Because its the second best to the Taiwanese green tea I had.

I only got my Libré Tea infuser mug a little over a week ago and no word of a lie, I’ve probably used it over 50 times. I love the clever idea and how it is very calming watching the loose tea leaves float around my glass. I haven’t had any problems with tea coming through the strainer and it hasn’t leaked at all for me. I keeps your tea quite warm as well. My only complaints is that when you turn it upside down, then put it right side up again, and the open it, there is still a large amount of liquid that stays above the strainer and takes a minute to strain back down. This isn’t anyone’s fault, but just a tip to everyone to give it a second so that you don’t spill on yourself. The other thing is that the little gold emblem on the lid, tends to move around under the plastic top. This doesn’t normally bother me but sometimes it gets really off-centre. Lastly, and this one is my fault, the outside has gotten quite a few little scratches because I usually carry the mug around in my purse. They are not overly noticeable, but if you want your glass staying in pristine condition, I suggest not tossing it in your bag.

All in all, great product. I recommend it to every person who drinks tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. When I’m finished with my tea, I rinse it out and use it as my water bottle for the day. And I don’t even taste the tea in my water.

I thought this tea had a lovely flavour. Not quite as robust as I was hoping but it was really yummy. Good flavour combination.

I think that some of the other reviews might be slightly harsh haha. But to each their own. Although not my favourite, this is still a decent tea. It’s the one I go to when I’m out of my Twinings Earl Grey. It has a nice flavour that gives me a good pick me up in the mornings. I don’t really taste the dark caramel, malt, and black cherries that it claims to have hints of, which is really a shame considering that would probably be a wonderful combination. I find this tea quite soft and subtle but I still enjoy it despite the fact that I like my tea with lots of rich and deep flavour.

Not much to say. Great tea. Been drinking it for years. Simple and classic. I leave the bag in while I drink it because I like my tea strong. I drink it with just a splash of milk and either raw sugar, Splenda, or honey.

This tea for me was just alright. But I’m really not a fan I’m chamomile teas so I’m sure for other people its wonderful. It has a nice flavour; calming and good for sore throats. What I will say though is that the loose leaf variety of this tea, looks absolutely stunning. I drank this out of my Libré Tea infuser glass, and it is so pretty. The little daisies and flowers “bloomed” inside the mug and it looked like a little garden. Props to Mighty Leaf for the most beautiful tea I’ve ever seen. I don’t know why everyone thinks that this smells or tastes like fruit loops though. I didn’t get that at all.

Despite what everyone else says about this tea being “just okay”, I have to strongly disagree. For me this tea had a really lovely rich, round flavour. I got the loose leaf variety, dropped about a teaspoon and a 1/3 into the bottom of my Libré Tea infuser mug, and I just left it in there and drank straight out of it. I like my teas stronger so this wasn’t an issue. I have tried it with and without both milk and sugar and its just all around a really fantastic tea. Plus I love the fact that its organic.
I would give this tea a 96/100 and it had maximum steeping time in just below boiling water.
