Great smell, spicy taste that’s very heavy on cinnamon. Very astringent if steeped too long.

Just had a couple cups this afternoon.

I followed East Side Rob’s recipe:
- 1.5 cups water
- .5 cup milk
- 2 tsp tea
- mix together in saucepan, bring to a boil
- add sugar, honey, stevia, or your sweetener of choice (I used honey).
- simmer 5 minutes.

The first time came out a tiny bit on the weaker side, so, second time I added more honey to the mix and more tea – I went with 4 tsp instead of 2. The bag said 2 tbsp (!) per 8 oz. water, which would be a ton, IMO, so making it with 4 tsp is a happy medium, I think, between what East Side Rob recommended and what Rishi recommends.

On the second try (with 4 tsp) the black pepper taste was just a little too strong. Next time I’m gonna try it with 3 tsp, and also shake up my bag before preparing it just to make sure all the spices are evenly distributed. Next time I’m also gonna add just a tad more milk because I thought it could’ve been a little creamier.

I’m not a huge chai drinker but I do like it every now and then and overall this is an awesome chai, highly recommended. I just need to work on getting the ratio of the various ingredients exactly how I like them.

Top-notch Chai. I recommend finding some molasses sugar or equally dark type of sugar and blending with it. Then I add a little pinch of vanilla-sugar. For a rich version, try half-and-half. It also works with soy. I’m looking into buying an aerolatte to make chai lattes.

Note: you can’t cheat and steep this like normal tea. The spices won’t come out and you’ll be extremely disappointed.

Delicious! I can’t get enough of this tea! I love drinking this on a cold morning before I have to face the day ;). Perfect blending of cardamom and cinnamon without being bitter or odd. Can’t rant enough about how good this is, I make it both ways- on the stove and with an infuser- both ways taste delicious.

Best masala chai I have ever tasted. So rich and highly spiced…completely delicious. Especially tasty with a splash of milk and tiny bit of sweetness added.

Yummo! I don’t usually do tea with milk, but I received a tin of this as a gift. Brewed according to the directions, with the exception of reducing the sugar to 1T. With 1c whole milk + 1c water, it was perfectly spicy, delicious, and rich. 1c 1% milk + 1c water tasted thin and the pepper came through too strongly. Haven’t tried any intermediates yet.

A second infusion (with the addition of another teaspoon of leaf and 1-2 extra minutes) was decent but didn’t hit the spot like the first.
