SIPDOWN…this is the last of the sample from OMGsrsly from the swap, and again, chose this one more for comfort and medicinal qualities. Normally, this is something I would reserve for fall or winter, but since I am awake, and unable to nap, I opted for this one to follow Hot Toboggan. Again, this one was chosen for it’s spices to help warm me up and help me feel better. It’s hard to tell, since I am so congested, but this one does taste sightly more pumpkin pie-like, rather than pumpkin pie spice-like, like Pumpkin Chai from the other DT. I’m not sure the subtle taste in them is enough to warrant me getting this one again, unless DAVIDs doesn’t return Pumpkin Chai this fall, or bring out something similar. Being sick makes me wish I had some Saigon Chai from DAVIDs though…

Tea #24 from HHTTB2

I could eat pumpkin pie all year. It’s so good. It’s like pumpkin custard in a delicious flaky happiness.

So, this tea. It’s a really nice pumpkin spice tea, but not so much pumpkin pie. But the pumpkin is there, which is amazing!I served it with an ounce of milk and a tsp of sugar and it does absolutely benefit from their addition. It doesn’t really help it embrace a pie-ness, but it makes it so warming and comforting.

Fall teas make me sad winter is coming.

And the whole Winter is Coming thing totally just reminds me of how stoked I am that Fiance has finally caught up in A Song of Ice and Fire and I have someone to discuss fan theories with. Yeeeeeeeeees!!

Loved those books! But it is so much more fun to discuss them with someone evaluate there are so many ways the story could go

Saturday sipdown (cold- brew). This is so good cold. The pumpkin flavour is a little stronger, as are the spices. Added a little sugar and soy milk, and it’s like having a pumpkin ice cream beverage.

Third tea review comes to me as a sample from Della Terra Teas, which came along with the ounce of tea I won from their Facebook page!

The aroma of this one is absolutely decadent. Brown sugar, a hint of spice, and pumpkin. It definitely smells like a pumpkin pie, and one I’d like to eat, pronto! Best aroma by far!

Wow! This tea actually does taste kind of like pumpkin pie! The spicing is definitely more muted than in DavidsTea’s Pumpkin Chai, and is more appropriate to what a pie would taste like. However, the pumpkin in this tea really stands out. It’s the first tea of the three where I feel the flavour of pumpkin is truly apparent, and it’s good!

Sweetened, my only complaint is that I’m actually feeling like I’m getting too much pumpkin, and not enough spice! Like an underspiced pie, perhaps. Not bad, though! Perhaps I’m a bit biased due to just having had some of the DavidsTea version.

Overall, this is a pretty great tea if you’re looking for something to curl up with in the fall. I do wish that there was a bit more spicing, but for someone who isn’t a chai fan, this tea would probably be the best option. I would happily drink this one again if it was easier for me to order from Della Terra! I may actually try a 50:50 blend of this and DT’s Pumpkin Chai to see if I can get the perfect balance between pumpkiny and spice. Stay tuned!

I’ve gone through this little pouch really fast. Maybe it’s because I just bought a 16 oz. Nordic mug from DavidsTea, but I think I went through most of the tea before that. It’s a really solid pumpkin pie tea, and I’m loving pumpkin teas of all sorts right now!

I love my new mug too! I picked up the forest trees one. So cute! And it’s HUGE!!! If you guys are struggling to clear out your cupboard before Black Friday, I definitely recommend a 16 oz. mug. Tea goes really fast that way, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m getting too much caffeine…wheeee! I wanted a big mug, because I took on a temporary position, as acting manager of my office while my boss is on detail for a couple months, and it’s really hard to make time for tea! Another reason I haven’t been on steepster in a week…I’ve been exhausted! Just wanted you to know, I’m still here, but barely . ;)

Gah, Nordic mugs are my favorite. I am seriously tempted to get the red sweater one.

OMGsrsly

I got the multicoloured trees Nordic mug. It’s so nice! :)

mrs.stenhouse12

I have the multi color tree one too, love it for a giant mug of chai :) or any black tea with milk actually, so cozy!

Tealizzy

OMGsrsly and MissLena – that’s the one I got! Wasn’t sure of the name. :)

OMGsrsly

I just wish the mountains theme for fall came in a multicoloured nordic mug. Then I’d be well on my way to establishing a theme! (I got my brother the green snowshoe mug from the summer as well.)

sundaysipping

I just ordered this exact mug! _

KittyLovesTea sent me an ounce of this and I’m not down to one cup left (after this one). I’m not sure what happened, but I love this tea. I’m generally not a huge Della Terra fan, but this one I must have more of. I even commented on their Facebook to inquire when it would be back.

I’m not sure how exactly to describe this. It’s more of a candy-like pumpkin tea, but not artificial at all, or it never would have worked for me. It is delightful.

Backlog:

This is a well-crafted pumpkin tea, and they are not always easy to find. I do wish that there was more of a buttery, pastry note to this to represent the pie crust of the pumpkin pie (My gramma made the best pie crust I’ve ever tasted. Not that THAT little factoid has anything whatsoever to do with this tasting note, but, I just thought I’d say it.)

I do like this tea though … a good representation of the pumpkin and spices. The black tea is rather mild, and almost lost in the flavors … almost, but not entirely.

A tasty pumpkin pie blend. I liked it.

Yeah! The Cardinals won, 3 – 0!
Tony & I watched the first half of the game at the pool hall. A couple of hours of shooting pool while watching baseball? Perfect!
I’ve been enjoying this tea for the last couple of innings.
I am a grandma, & I bake a killer pumpkin pie. This doesn’t actually taste like it to me, but it is pleasant & spicy.
It’s also a sipdown! #2 from Sil! Thanks!

this tea is nice. smooth and pumpkin-esque. i definitely taste the nutmeg and cinnamon. it’s a cute flavor? i know that’s a strange descriptor. but i don’t feel very moved by this tea. not sure why. i just find it very nice is all.

i am doing everything in my power to NOT register for the Pike’s Peak Marathon in Colorado.
“Starting … at 6,300 feet and gaining about 7,750 feet before reaching the finish line or turnaround point at around 14,050 feet, the Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon will redefine what you call running. In fact, many runners spend a great deal of time walking.”
why would i even consider this if i don’t even like running on hills?
please god help me.
(yes i have googled things like “Pike’s Peak death”, “Pike’s Peak dangerous” and “Pike’s Peak horrible”)

Shmiracles

don’t worry, pike’s peak sold out quickly. i’ll run on a 15% incline for a year and then try to register again.
