From DAVIDsTEA

Can’t get enough

We are having a serious moment with blueberries over here. Once called “star berries” because of their jaunty little crowns, blueberries are truly the superstar of the fruit world. After all, with their compact size and huge benefits, they’re basically the original “superfood.” And when you mix them with delicately fresh white tea, sweet black currants and pretty cornflower petals, they make for an irresistibly luxurious cuppa. Rich, fruity, fragrant and refreshing, this is one sweet treat you can feel great about drinking. Oh baby.

Sipdown! 250/365!

Another tea I wish I had more of. This is quite yummy; heavy on the dark berry flavours (blueberry, blackberry), and really quite a treat.

This was a winner for me … Mostly because I love berries in tea. (Too bad it got the distracted sipping, work tea treatment.)

I first tried this tea when it came out as a hot tea, and I didn’t like it. But since it smells so darn good, I figured I’d give it another try, iced this time. It was really delicious as an iced tea! Definitely a blueberry taste. I’ll have to stock up on this one for sure.

I am surprised that there isn’t higher reviews for this tea. It is fairly light, but it’s a white tea. I thought it tasted fairly decent and there wasn’t any nasty stevia (I don’t think).

Chilled, this tea is even better. It might even be better cold brewed.

Hoooray for no nasty stevia. Why oh why do the tea companies add that stuff?

I don’t know what I was expecting. I don’t think I was paying enough attention to the ingredients. It smells like blueberries. The aftertaste tastes like blueberries. It’s the initial floral taste that I’m not crazy about. Thankfully the aftertaste lingers quite a bit. I think I’d really enjoy this iced and sweetened. However, since I’m avoiding sweeteners for the time being, I thought I’d try this hot and I’m not too keen on it. I’m both glad that I only have a few grams to sipdown for now and that it’s a permanent tea should I want to revisit it when/if I start reintroducing sweeteners to my diet.

Blueberry. Both scent and flavour. Immediately followed by something floral and sweet—jasmine? or elderflower?

Imagine David’s Blueberry Jam but with a mild white tea rather than assertive black tea base.

I am enjoying this cup,
but the floral aspect of this tea is very likely going to embed itself in the silicone bit of my travel mug. Somehow, that worries me.

I love my travel mugs so much, but hate how the smells of some teas can get trapped in the silicone. Denture tablets help though, but still aren’t perfect.

Denture tablets! Brilliant.
I wonder what ingredient in them do the work, and whether that ingredient also decomposes whatever it is that makes the mugs airtight. I wonder whether baking soda would work?
So far, my timolinos and plain thermoses are best regarding retaining scent. And David’s travel mugs are the worst. I don’t have any from the new series though.

Denture tablets have been a lifesaver for me—more effective than baking soda. I have the new curve mug from dt and am in love, although like all the ones before it, the silicone will retain smell. It’s worth it to me though because of its other features.

Evol Ving Ness

I will try them. I just bought the curve travel mug online as a gift for a friend today, so I will pass this info along to her as well. I hope she will love the mug as much as you do.

I don’t know if anyone could love the mug as much as I do, but I sure hope she does!!!! You’re a great friend!

This person has been very lovely to me during some prolonged difficult days, so I wanted to give her a different kind of loveliness to enjoy with tea. Life is far better when we are good to each other.

Sil

use the smart soak from garrett…er Mandala. Fabulous! not that other things don’t work but man i love that stuff.

Evol Ving Ness

Thank you for that suggestion, Sil. That is going on my shopping list.

Very mild blueberry flavour to this one – likely due to the white tea base. I think it’s a bit too mild for my taste (I do like my fruit teas to be stronger, as a whole), but as an organic tea, I’m certainly happy to have tried it. I wouldn’t say this is a definite must purchase again, but I will keep it in mind.

am I the only one who thought about Barry White when they heard the name of this tea? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_White

raven22

Nope, I had that thought as well! :P

Haha that’s great :)

I had this tea hot today. It was very light, and not too artificial tasting as David’s Teas sometimes are. I would drink it again, but I don’t feel the need to buy a quantity of it.

So this tea seems to basically be Blueberry Jam with an added floral hint and a white base. First I tried this as a room temperature sample and it had a slight astringency, though not strictly unpleasant. Later, however, I had some in my travel mug with A LOT of ice and the colder temperature seemed to get rid of the astringency. As a bonus, none of the stevia you get with Blueberry Jam. Not sure if I’d be in a rush to pick some up, but it’s pretty good.
