Elderflower Spritz

It’s better cold than it is hot. No as flavourful as I had hoped.

Very floral at first, but it settles out into a nice fruity and floral balance. Probably not something I’d purchase more of, but it was good while I had it.

This is nicely sweet and lightly floral. I really like this tea. Not something I always reach for, but it’s nice to have once in a while.

This tea tastes pretty good hot but I did not like it so much iced.

Really nice, light flavor. Lovely iced, and I’m sure it would be great as a teapop as well.

This tea dries my mouth out in a weird way and I suspect it’s due to the artificial flavorings. As far as the taste goes it’s floral and fruity, but somehow still too light for me even as a white tea. Getting a lot of grape from this. Might make for a good subtle iced tea but otherwise this isn’t doing it for me.

A sample from Roswell Strange. I like Elderflower a lot, but it seems to be fairly rare in tea (maybe that’s just the UK?) It’s always nice to have the opportunity to try one, anyway. I used 1 tsp of leaf for my cup, and gave it 2.5 minutes in water cooled to around 170 degrees. The resulting liquor is a happy, sunshiny yellow – very cheering!

To taste, elderflower is definitely the most prominent flavour. It’s sweet and delicately floral, with a kind of honeyed smoothness that’s exceptionally palatable. It reminds me a lot of elderflower cordial. The white tea base is perfect here, contributing mild hay-like notes but letting the elderflower shine. I can see why this one was part of the spring collection – it’s perfect on a warm afternoon!

This had to have been my favorite spring tea, this year. I prefer it hot, but it’s still just as good, cold. I have gone through a lot of this tea this year and have kept a stash to last me for the upcoming colder months. It has a very nice, floral and sweet aroma and is naturally sweet.

I actually like it! I wasn’t very enthusiastic to try it because it just seemed like white and green tea with flowers. But it’s actually really good. It has a nice sweetness from those flowers (peony flowers I think?). I won’t buy anymore, but I’ll finish my sample. Good job!

Nothing exciting. It’s too light. It has a fruity berry taste (which I’m not a fan of, anyway). I wish the tea base would be stronger (there is sencha in this? really?). However, I have to say that the blend itself, dry, is beautiful. Glad I could try it, would never buy it.
