Sipdown…this is not my favourite Butiki blend, but mainly because I’m not a huge fan of rooibos. It is, however, still a decent rooibos blend. I think I prefer DAVIDs Orange Blossom over this one. But I prefer this one over many other rooibos I’ve had. I mean, I did finish my small sample of this, but I won’t repurchase.

Thanks to Butiki Teas for throwing this sample into my last order!

I thought this would be pretty good to go with the leftover Pineapple-Coconut Chicken Curry and Indian rice – and it was!

This is pretty delicious! I really enjoyed the sweet, creamy mango in this blend. I’m pretty sure I’m missing the rest of the taste in this due to allergies, but what did taste was impressive. First taste was all mango. Then I got the creaminess a few sips later. After adding a tad of sweetener, I could taste some citrus which was kind of a surprise. Next time, I probably won’t add sugar because it really was great on it’s own.

I also like this because it’s not a black tea base. The rooibos base is better in my opinion because it can be enjoyed at any time – without the worry of a late evening caffeine intake.

I forgot I had this sample until I went digging into my sample box this afternoon. I can really taste the mango and spice, but very little cream. But I’m really ok with that. This makes for a really yummy afternoon caffeine free cup of tea. It might even bring on an afternoon nap if I’m lucky.

This tea was delicious tonight. Generally I’m not a big fan of rooibos. This one is not woodsy and doesn’t have unpleasant aftertaste. As it cools the flavors pop and I like it even more. Tastes like really juicy mango with slight sour note. No additions. Steeped according Butiki. I bet it would be fantastic chilled

This is a free sample thrown in to my Butiki order. Thanks! I’ve never had an actual mango lassi, but if it tastes similar to this tea I think I would love it. Although the aroma is heavy on the rooibos, the flavor is creamy mango all the way. This will definitely be going on my shopping list! I need some more decaf options for the evenings.

Another generous sample Stacy packed in with my last order, yay.

I wasn’t sure this would be as good as the others I’ve been raving about all week because (aside from just feeling like, hey! They can’t all be winners, right? Ha) steeping the smell wasn’t as mouthwatering—some mango for sure, but also the rooibos. But then sipping it, and sipping some more, here I am impressed again. This really tastes like creamy fresh mango lassi, yum. And as it cools you get ALL the nuance of fresh mango—that stringy-musky-floral aspect (a friend who’s not a fan used to say mango tasted like hair to her; I think that’s what she was getting at, and I love it), not just the initial juicy fruitiness. Someone mentioned banana in their notes and I do totally agree, it’s not just the flavor of banana but also the fuzzy mouthfeel somehow. And that texture contributes to the “lassi-ness”. The cardamom makes it smell good and also adds to the feeling it’s really lassi, not just standard mango or tropical fruit tea. The rooibos is relativey subdued; you can taste and smell it if you look for it, but it’s only in background, not screaming upfront like in so many blends. Really good. It’s exciting to have so many treat options before bed now that aren’t just, you know, pretty good and fairly sweet, but taste truly, specifically like yummy things. I’d definitely order more of this.

This is pretty good and juicy and MANGO!!!! Locally Mango’s have been pricey here and I have been hungry for them but don’t want to spend over $2 per mango so this will be a mighty fine substitute until they drop in price :)

This tastes very banana to me; mango, not so much. It’s got a pleasantly creamy mouthfeel, like a real lassi (or a banana…). The rooibos comes through a bit more strongly than I’d like, as I’m not too fond of that tobacco flavor. Not bad for something caffeine-free, but I don’t think this will be a reorder.
