I haven’t been on Steepster in a very long time. Drinking this tea today inspired me to find my way back. I made this as a latte with Stevia as sweetener. I tried to take a nap this afternoon because I am exhausted and my kids kept making so much noise that I couldn’t sleep (their Dad was with them). So, I was super irritable and this tea has soothed back to a calm place. Love the almondy sweetness and the slight tang of the anise. Yummy and soothing with just enough caffeine to get me moving again.

Flavors: Almond, Anise, Caramel, Fruity, Vanilla

This is one of my absolute favorites when I want a sweet fruity treat. It is pure tropical blueberry sweetness and I love it hot or cold.

Backlogging. I have had this as my morning tea a few times since the cute tin arrived in the mail. It is hearty, malty and smoky and holds up well to my preferred morning method: with milk and sugar.

Smooth, hefty assam that is not very malty. Maintains nice flavor with milk and sugar, but not so bold that it needs those things to take the edge off. Not super complex, but smooth and refined. Good wake up tea!

I received a sample size tea bag of this yesterday in a RoT catalogue. I’m drinking it iced and it definately tastes like real watermelon. The mint flavor is a hint of a whisper at the most – barely perceptable and easy to overlook if I weren’t searching for it. The base black tea flavor is also not there very much. This tea is all about the watermelon.

I am having this for the second time and I think my tea palate is developing. I am enjoying the very natural coconut flavor which enhances, rather than covers, the underlying pouchong. It is almost buttery. I am really enjoying it as an after dinner tea.

I’ve had 2 cups of this today brewed as a quick hot cup of chai with hot milk. Yummmm! For me, it has the perfect blend of clove, cardamom, cinnamon and other chai spices. The black tea base supports it well. This is the chai I will stock up on as my go to chai.

I am a mother, wife and physician who recently discovered my long lost love of tea. I swore off all coffee at the beginning of this year and have been a much happier person ever since. I have a lot to learn about tea, but I am very enthusiastic!

So far, I like black teas, flavored teas and herbals best. I’m currently working on developing my palate for oolongs so that I can better appreciate their subtle complexities. I’d like to start getting to know matchas next.
