good morning tea world!
this is one of those teas that smells slightly off putting to me, but when i drink it i’m warmed and happy. it’s not fruity but it’s still wonderfully delicately sweet.
a nice choice for a cold monday morning.
there is a lot of construction in my house. and so we don’t have a kitchen. and so i can’t make my green breakfast smoothies. and so my house is a bit cold. and so ginseng’s got my back.

GOOD MORNING last cup of buttered rum.
i overslept a bit. i need to go pick up my rental car and head north to my last marathon of 2012.
it will be my third marathon in 3 weekends.
Buttered Rum has become “the tea i’m always in the mood for”. i’m afraid i will miss it too much and have to buy some more immediately. but i really should branch out shouldn’t i? :)

i went to see Concrete Blonde last night
i brewed this in my timolino to drink on the drive there.
the first song they played was a Midnight Oil cover song. that was pretty amazing since it was the song my boyfriend sang at a karaoke party just 2 days earlier.
they also sang Take Me Home which is probably the one song that will sometimes always make me cry a little. in a good way.
life is beautiful and terrible and strange.
oh, and we had ethiopian food before the rock show. i ordered spiced tea. it was a bright orange chai served in a clear glass mug, and tasted lovely, but i should have probably added a little sugar to make it really dance.
partied hard last night.
rebooting today with some Assam and vegan endurance athlete videos and sherlock fanfiction.

my own special version, which is where i take the chamomile stems and flowers out of the tea.
cuz i don’t like chamomile very much and this improves the flavor greatly in my opinion.
RIDICULOUS i know!
but i do like it this way. and it’s yellow warm and yummy nana flavor goes nicely with today’s overcast sky.

this writeup was posted 4 months ago. i’m consolidating some reviews and deleting useless ones. but also sometimes i find a typo and just can’t help myself from correcting it! and it always moves the review to the top again.
SO my question to you guys is HOW ANNOYING is this to you? should i wait and update all my tea posts at 5am while i do this consolidation so less people have to see them all and i don’t clog up anyone’s dashboard too much?
@gmathis – ehehehe, I do the same thing. My teas. My pretties. Lol.
@Schmiracles – It’s annoying, but do what you want with your reviews (I do!). It’s an irritatingly-designed system that never used to behave that way, but it’s not the user’s fault at all. I edit my entries all the time, and if people don’t like it, I’ll suggest they use the ‘Explore’ feature instead of the dashboard. Posts don’t pop to the front there. Or unfollow me :P It doesn’t greatly bother me, because I “like” most reviews I read, and so I can see if I have already read it. If by chance I haven’t, then I don’t care if it’s old and I’m reading it four months later. I like old reviews all the time.
hey Kittenna, ikwym!!! i actually “like” almost every single post that comes through my dashboard. mostly cuz i just love the conversations!! steepster is so free from the usual angst or competitiveness of other social boards that i just wanna hear what everyone has to say all the time!
also sometimes i just see a typo i made that i just MUST CORRECT hah! i don’t mind other people’s old post popping to the top at all. in fact it would probably be wicked cute to see some of the comment conversations i had over 6 months ago.
sometimes i will open my tea drawer, and i think i am trying to pick a tea to have next, but really i’m just staring at them and touching their canisters lovingly.
Yeah, I know – I love reading everyone’s stories, and seeing them progress! And reading the comment convos is great too (liking, of course, also gets them all emailed to me, so I can keep up with things!)

OMG I FORGOT WHY I LIKED THIS SO MUCH! I hate to say it but though i love Matt Smith, some of the special chemistry in the writing from 2005 has faded over the years.
With the exception of the mid-season finale, the newest season was very disappointing to me – BUT Matt Smith is definitely “my” doctor. I love Eccleston when I am watching him and love DT all the time, but Matty Smith is my fave : )
i agree! so the recent episodes may not be as snappy and elegant as some from the past, but Matt Smith is definitely still electric. He’s certainly a close second to eccleston for me. both impressive actors.
An 11th episode high point for me MIGHT be the one with Stormageddon? so many memorable moments :)
i think i just need to watch them all again! good thing i have all this new tea to drink through my doctor who marathon!
I need a new show to watch. I think I’ll start on this one. I’ve only seen one scene where he goes into an old western style saloon bar and orders TEA with the TEA BAG in haha
David Tenant was saved by a good cup of tea at one point..that’s something to enjoy. : )
Electric is a great word for the way Matt Smith does the Doctor. He’s so vibrant and compelling, I want nothing more than to adventure with him.

CupofTree, you really should start watching. It’s an excellent show. Shmiracles, I love the 9th as well. He’s the one that got me watching. Love him even with his big monkey ears :) I love drinking this tea in my Tardis disappearing and reappearing mug.
i’m having my third cup of this tea today. the scent keeps lingering in my nose and makes me wanna drink more and more.

My youngest daughter wore her fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) scarf today and carried jelly babies. No one recognized the scarf, so no one got jelly babies! My godson cosplays as ninth Doctor, and you should see the fanboys AND girls go nuts.
Poor Nine. He had some great stories and lines, but also some terrible plots, esp the farting aliens. He was my gateway doctor.
