1220 Tasting Notes
I thought maybe the milk oolong I got last week was this one. It is not. So now I have two different milk oolongs and that is really not a problem.
This one is a lot greener than the other I have. It’s a bit more subtle, but still creamy. I think I prefer the other one, but this is still amazing.
Oh, my “I feel like crap” go-to tea. I have been sniffling for days, and I went to drop off my rent check. The manager offered me hot chocolate, and I was like noooo, I need tea! I had drinking chocolate last night and that probably didn’t help hahaha.
I first got this tea like 2 years ago or so, I had used up any mint or citrus tea I had and I could not shake a cold, so I went to ZenTea. I was like I have a cold, my throat is killing me, and I love rooibos. Boom. I was given a pot of this with some lime wedges and honey.
Now it is always the tea I drink when I feel sick. It’s minty, it’s just citrusy enough, and it’s very soothing. Of course, I don’t think I actually have a cold right now, I just have a body that’s had enough of this ridiculous temperature jumping around here.
I’m not too much of a chai person but I do greatly enjoy s’mores so I decided I’d give this a shot. The first time I made it, I didn’t like it at all. I thought I’d give it a chance again tonight, this time with a bit of sugar and milk. I like it way better now.
I get smoky and cinnamon, a little bit of marshmallow (I think using vanilla sugar helped there) but not so much chocolate. I could eat chocolate with it I suppose, but I already had hot chocolate tonight. Oh well. The milk and sugar makes it less spicy, because it was a bit too peppery for me before that.
It’s hard to make this without getting bits of tea in the cup because it’s ground up so finely. I tried shaking it out before making it but realized I was gonna soon lose all the tea!
I’m still not entirely sold on it, but it’s not awful by any means.
This is different. I let it steep for a really long time because it was pretty blah after 5 minutes. It’s somewhat better now, but nothing jumps out at me about it.
I get the apple and a bit of papaya, the sweetness comes with a beet flavor. I don’t know what the popcorn is adding, I got a big kernel in this cup, and I’m not getting anything toasty or savory from it.
I like this way better cold. I can taste the fruits in here a bit better, but I’m still not entirely a fan of it.
It tastes like very sweet cider. I’m gonna see if it’s any better if it’s cold.
As soon as I opened the packaging, I liked this tea. It has that classic tea smell, earthy, smoky, sweet, all in one.
I love how much this tea tastes like caramel. I go through caramel obsession phases and I am in the midst of one right now.
It’s a good, hearty tea that is absolutely perfect to have with how cold it is here today. Perfectly smooth, just a tad sweet, and not at all bitter.
Preparation
I still love this tea, and I’m glad it’s been tucked away since they discontinued it. It still tastes just as good as before.
I can’t figure out if I like it better hot or cold. I think it’s sweet enough on its own, and the flavor is so good that I don’t want to ruin it with milk, so I don’t make any sort of fake Thai iced tea.
I can taste everything in here: vanilla, almond, coconut. It doesn’t come off like a cookie like other teas I have of this same flavor, which is nice. Like I said, it’s just sweet enough.
My mom bought some of the more expensive “Thai tea” they introduced after killing this one off but she left it in the bag from the store so I guess I won’t be trying it anytime soon to see if it even tastes the same. I think it smelled spicier than this one so booooo Teavana, this one was good.
I’ve never been much for white tea, but this one has made me think otherwise.
I always thought they were too light and delicate for my liking. Wrong. I steeped this three times, and I could probably keep going.
The first time it was so sweet and it really tasted like cucumber. The second infusion was super flavorful, less cucumber tasting and more floral and all around good. The third I didn’t like as much as the second, but I really, really liked the second steep.
I love all the information given about the tea on the package. I really like this tea.

Preparation
the most notable new thing was that I spilled it on myself. on my birthday. There needs to be some kind of award for that.
Other than that, still love this and it’s toasty goodness.
