Bamboozled and Oh Canada (Happy Canada Day!) were the teas of the day today at Davids Tea. I had my iced tea mug with me, so I got my $1 refill and decided to try the new Bamboozled.

Bamboo tea, sounds interesting – smells delicious dry and steeped. Iced this is very light and definitely refreshing! The peach comes across the most to me, but I can definitely taste the pineapple in there – but it’s not tart.

I can see buying some of this for iced tea in the future. Glad for the $1 iced tea refills w/ the iced tea mug though – it’s a great way to try different teas!

Yum! I’m excited. Blazing Strawberries was pretty light, so I was expecting that of this one.

drank Chai Guarana by DAVIDsTEA

This is actually quite a good chai! I add 1/2c hot milk to my steeper along with the water, give it a little stir and let the works steep for 7 min. Add some raw sugar, or brown sugar after straining and you have one delicious, warm, spicy cup of chai – one that packs a punch, the guarana definitely perks me up.

The only downfall is that the tea is quite heavy, so you don’t get as much for your $. Tomorrow I will try David’s Saigon Chai steeped the same way so I can compare.

Another great tea iced – I haven’t tried it hot, and I don’t think I will. I’ve had it iced in store several times and shared with the kidlet. My 10 yr old loves this one iced w/ a shot of agave.

Definitely going to pick some up on my next trip to Davids!

I’m not generally a huge rooibos fan – but I actually quite like this tea. The novelty of the sprinkles and cats and murky green colour it steeps to is definitely fun – but the taste is surprisingly good. It kind of reminds me of strawberry/orange koolaid! Which of course led me to try it iced next!

It’s GREAT iced! This is one I look forward to sharing with my 10 yr old as an iced tea over this Summer break!

This is the most pepperminty of the pepperminty teas by a long shot! I like to sip mint tea when I have an upset/anxious stomach or iced when it’s grossly hot outside.

Great in a mojito – and sometimes I throw an extra tsp of this in to my Read My Lips in the last minute of steeping for an extra minty boost.

Doesn’t seem to gain any bitterness or anything off-putting from oversteeping, despite the short steep time indicated in the directions. I once accidentally left it for about 7 minutes and it made an even better iced tea than expected!

If you’re looking for a really strong, fresh peppermint tea this one definitely is worth checking out.

drank Big Apple by DAVIDsTEA

This tea is delicious!

The dry leaf smells wonderful – fresh tea and fresh apples. There is a lot of tea leaf in this mix, a good balance of the green and white – along with a generous amount of dried apple pieces.

Steeped 3 min – 92F water. The fresh appley taste really comes through, and it doesn’t taste at all artificial – it is followed by smooth green and white teas lingering. No spices, nothing exotic – just good, clean apple tea. Tried adding a bit of raw sugar at the end and this was nice as well!

Iced – doubled the amount of tea used previously and poured the steeped tea over ice. Let this sit a while and came back to it – this is awesome iced, really quite refreshing! Again, tastes like apples and tea – not artificial or like apple juice. Added agave when I poured some for a friend and she said it was great!

This is a light tea – so if you pick up 50g your little silver sachet will be stuffed full, definitely a bonus! I went back a few days after purchasing my first 50g to buy another 50 in a tin so I can add them together. It’s that good!

So this is like apple cider without the cinnamon? Not green apple?

Kittena: I don’t get so much of a GREEN apple taste from this – as just fresh juicy apples. Honestly the smell reminds me of crisp red delicious apples!

This tea is deliciously mango-ey without slapping you across the face with mango – it’s a great, balanced mango and green tea flavour.

Honestly it was better than expected – I drink it almost daily! There are large mango bits scattered throughout the dry leaf. This tea it smells wonderful dry, steeping – hot and cold, really! Bought some for my Mom as a party of her Mothers Day gift, she loves it as well.

ETA: This is a great tea for afternoon sipping – or for taking out and about, iced or hot! Still love it!

This tea is wonderful all around!

It smells great dry and as it steeps it fills my house with the scent of blueberries – yum! It tastes like BLUEBERRIES and then tea, the blueberries are delicious and I don’t find the taste at all artificial or cloying. I want to roll around in this tea.

Amazing with a splash of milk and sugar.. any time of day (eta: this is now my FAVOURITE morning tea)! Went back and stocked up on a tin today!

I received this as a sample from Fusion Tea Room (thank you!!!).
This smells delicious and rich dry – and the same steeped. It steeps to a rich brown colour and tastes wonderfully rich as well – cocoa and raspberries. Great with a bit of milk!
