65 Tasting Notes
This cuppa smells like butter and caramel, which is kind of awesome. The taste is much more apple-y, with a popcorn taste. At the back there’s some smoothness. I wish the caramel/maple was more prominent in the steeped tea, but the tea is pretty good overall.
Preparation
Dry, this tea smells a bit terrifying – it has a strange chemical, plastic smell to it. I bought a small sample when the salesperson assured me it steeped out better, and she was right. When steeped, the ginger, cardamom, and peppermint shine through some more. There’s a strange bitterness in the back of my mouth after a sip, though, which is weirdly medicinal to me.
Overall, better than I thought it would be, but not something I’ll drink again.
Preparation
I held off on trying this until I got a sample in an online order, which I gave to my sister-in-law. She really liked it, so I bought a bit to try last time I was in the shop. Surprisingly, I like it – I was afraid it would be too herbal/medicinal, but it’s quite nice and light, with some citrus and ginger tang.
Preparation
I couldn’t find my scoop so I wound up dumping all the tea in the bottom of the bag in, and it came out as dark as coffee. XD Unfortunately, it’s quite strong and a little bitter. Still lovely and tasty, though, and better than when it was too weak.
Bumping the rating a bit.
Preparation
Yes, it’s true. Dry, this tea smells TERRIBLE. Steeped, it’s fruity in a weird way, and the citrus and cinnamon along with the fig are kind of… fresh. I can’t describe it. XD The actual tea flavour is very weak, and the colour was very pale despite steeping according to directions.
