226 Tasting Notes
It must have been a really long while since I’ve logged on to Steepster, because I ended up having to sign in…luckily after a few tries remembered my password.
I bought this tea as a sample last February/March (When my mom was on a long vacation and I could get away with buying an obnoxious amount of tea.)
By the name I was expecting a flavor similar to that of Frosted Carrotcake Genmaicha, though with a slightly mellow smoothness due to the cashew.Sadly I could not taste any carrot, just mainly coconut and maybe the cashew. It’s a nice tea though and I like drinking it, but I don’t see myself buying this one again.
Preparation
A while back I decided to both go on a sipdown schedule and a tea buying hiatus. The 1st one I’ve quit, because tea has always been from the beginning more of a treat…like at the end of a long day and a present to myself for not strangling anybody. So, with exception of the occasional iced tea jug where I can use up alot more tea at once…not going to bother with any sipdowns. The Tea Buying Hiatus however, I have no choice but to go thru with that.
This tea: It’s ok. Tastes nice…but not terribly inspiring.
I recently ordered a bunch of tea, including quite a bit from David’s Tea…and accidentally got sent 2 packets of this tea.
While I have a mild like for this tea, I think this will go in the iced tea pile. Not a bad thing, as there isn’t much tea I like in that pile. Yet anyways…since I plan on heading to Teavana tomorow or friday. Heh.
There used to be wild rhubarb growing by the fence in the backyard of the house I 1st lived in after living in the U.P. Everynow and then I’d grab a stalk and gnaw on it, though I could eat a little bit before the tartness got to me. My favorite pie as a kid? Strawberry & rhubarb pie of course:) This tea is kind of bringing those memories back.
I like this tea alot better then the strawberry and vanilla from Lupicia’s happy bag.
Not sure if I’d want to get more though.
