It must have been a really long while since I’ve logged on to Steepster, because I ended up having to sign in…luckily after a few tries remembered my password.

I bought this tea as a sample last February/March (When my mom was on a long vacation and I could get away with buying an obnoxious amount of tea.)

By the name I was expecting a flavor similar to that of Frosted Carrotcake Genmaicha, though with a slightly mellow smoothness due to the cashew.

Sadly I could not taste any carrot, just mainly coconut and maybe the cashew. It’s a nice tea though and I like drinking it, but I don’t see myself buying this one again.

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 3 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 6 OZ / 177 ML

A while back I decided to both go on a sipdown schedule and a tea buying hiatus. The 1st one I’ve quit, because tea has always been from the beginning more of a treat…like at the end of a long day and a present to myself for not strangling anybody. So, with exception of the occasional iced tea jug where I can use up alot more tea at once…not going to bother with any sipdowns. The Tea Buying Hiatus however, I have no choice but to go thru with that.

This tea: It’s ok. Tastes nice…but not terribly inspiring.

Odd, very odd this tea. I like it well enough though I highly doubt I will get it again. Why? Because this tea just tastes to odd to have very often, but I’ll try for a iced tea.

I had the Raspberry Cream Pie way before I had this tea, and even though this tea tastes similar, the raspberry tastes ALOT better. It’s not a bad tea, I just would like something that had alittle more…depth or funkyness.

I havn’t had much luck with green tea, I don’t know why but the majority of it just doesn’t have much distinct taste from another.

Including this tea. Though my wallet thanks me. Heh.

I recently ordered a bunch of tea, including quite a bit from David’s Tea…and accidentally got sent 2 packets of this tea.

While I have a mild like for this tea, I think this will go in the iced tea pile. Not a bad thing, as there isn’t much tea I like in that pile. Yet anyways…since I plan on heading to Teavana tomorow or friday. Heh.

This tea is better then the last tea I reviewed just a minute ago, but highly doubt I will be getting this one again either.

I don’t know…maybe I will change my mind…not in a good mood at the moment.

Wasn’t impressed with this tea at all. It didn’t taste bad…just not really worth buying.

There used to be wild rhubarb growing by the fence in the backyard of the house I 1st lived in after living in the U.P. Everynow and then I’d grab a stalk and gnaw on it, though I could eat a little bit before the tartness got to me. My favorite pie as a kid? Strawberry & rhubarb pie of course:) This tea is kind of bringing those memories back.

I like this tea alot better then the strawberry and vanilla from Lupicia’s happy bag.

Not sure if I’d want to get more though.

Bio

Currently 46 years old…

Been a tea lover for most of my life, though it’s only in the past? (5-8 years.) That I’ve been drinking loose leaf tea.

I like mostly blended teas in Black, White, and some Oolong. Sadly not much Green tea that I really like. And of course Herbal.

Rating Guide that I use, though I am not terribly consistent;)

100 Excellent
90-99 Very Good
70-89 Fair
50-69 The only teas that I am interested in in this rating are teas that I can buy locally, such as at a grocery store, fruit market, tea shop, etc. Or is fairly cheap/add on thru a website.
50 and Below No redeeming qualities whatsoever or is too much like a tea that I already have.

Some teas such as Constant Comment by Bigelow I still drink on occasion, it is one of my comfort teas from when I was growing up. Others are Perfect Peach, Mint Medley and Cozy Chamomile.

I am a bookworm, though I also enjoy art journaling/mixed media, making jewelry, spending waaaaaay to much time online…particularly bingeing various tv shows on Netflix and Hulu. Also various forums like this one (On and off.) Quora, Goodreads, Youtube and misc. others. If you see the nicknames Lynxiebrat/Lynxiegrl,Lynxiedove, Zaaron or Sarikcat, then drop me a message:)
