241 Tasting Notes
A friend gifted this to me when she was cleaning out her tea cupboard. Today is the last of the container and I am just realizing it’s from Republic of Tea. I only noticed the Stonewall Kitchen packaging. I’ve been drinking this one regularly through the winter in my work mug. Usually I steep it in my travel mug while getting my breakfast together and then wait until it cools some to drink. Today I followed the suggested directions and steeped for about 6 minutes in boiled water.
I’ve enjoyed this throughout winter since it looks like winter has returned today with snow/sleet/rain the tea will have one last sip. Today I’m actually focusing on the flavors. It’s a sweet creamy mint blend. Other reviewers mentioned stevia but I don’t see that in the ingredient listing. I believe the blend was changed to monk fruit to add sweetness. I would definitely purchase again. This appears to be a limited edition so I’ll have to keep my eyes open in the winter for it to come around again.
Flavors: Peppermint, Vanilla, White Chocolate

I actually have a pouch of this somewhere in my tea cabinet as well and I’m glad because I enjoyed this one. Being “from the north” sweet potato pie is not a common occurrence for meals. Our family sure loves sweet potatoes though.
I steeped for about 5 minutes at 200F. The blend looked interesting with chopped nuts and marshmallow bits. Its definitely sweet as I would expect and has a caramelized sugar taste. Definitely gives off vibes of cozy, warm, and comfort. Next time I drink this, I think I’ll make it as a latte to bump up the dessert factor.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Marshmallow, Pecan, Sweet Potatoes

This was in a my Christmas stocking this past December in festive holiday packaging. I remember thinking Ghostly Green was an odd name to add into a Christmas based tea collection but hooray for a tea I’ve not had before.
There is a strong mint flavor with a hint of floral in the back. There’s a bit of creaminess to it as the tea cools.
Flavors: Cream, Floral, Green, Mint
Day 3 Davids Tea 2023 Advent Calendar
I have a pretty decent stress headache at the moment. Probably related to a meeting I need to run this evening. I remembered that this tea was hanging out on my “make sure to note this” stack and decided that relaxing with it would be a good idea. Either the tea or the Advil (or both) are helping!
Unsurprisingly, this blend of medicinal tea reminds me of other herbal teas I have used in the past. Like most of them, I don’t love or hate the taste. It’s creamy with minty cool of the mint lingering after each sip. I could see this being a staple in my “wellness” tea tool box.
Flavors: Herbal, Lemongrass, Rooibos, Spearmint

Day 21 Davids Tea 2023 Advent Calendar
I’ve been avoiding this one because it doesn’t appeal to my ideas of AM or PM tea, when I usually have a mug. I got out of bed rather late today, so thought I’d give it a whirl. I don’t taste peanut butter but I do get brownie. It is nutty but there’s a medicinal taste for my palate. Maybe it’s the apple? Not sure. This one bordered on a do not finish and “maybe it will get better on the next sip.”
Flavors: Apple, Chocolate, Hazelnut, Medicinal, Nutty

Day 5 Davids Tea 2023 Advent Calendar
Apparently I already logged this one but my note is M.I.A. I do remember being excited about this one in December. Strawberry Rhubarb is one of my favorite baked good combos. Tartness is expected. It’s a pretty red color and smells like those strawberry candies that my grandmother used to have out in a candy dish for guests. Initially, SRP left me with a mouth puckering feeling that I’m wasn’t enjoying. As the mug cooled and mellowed, I found it more enjoyable and reminded of spring/summer. Probably not going to be on my “buy again” list but I’d try it again if offered
Flavors: Hibiscus, Strawberry, Tart
Day 22 Davids Tea Advent Calendar 2023
This one I used the entire tin. There was quite a bit of candied fruit in the blend which is surprising when you don’t read the ingredient list. It steeped up with a nice scent of ginger to it. It’s sweet with a bit of spice and a rooibos base. I do detect a bit of floral in the background as well. While I don’t generally favor sweet teas, this was nice.
Flavors: Candied Fruit, Ginger, Honey, Peppercorn

Day 19 Davids Tea Advent Calendar 2023
I’m drinking this for a lunch time Zoom call. I don’t taste bourbon which is not a bad thing for me. It’s definitely brown sugary, sweet, and creamy. I like the maltiness of the mug. Hazelnut is strong in my mug and that’s fine with me. A nice dessert tea.
Flavors: Brown Sugar, Hazelnut, Sweet
Picked this one up at the Viking Shop in New Hampshire on their holiday clearance shelf. I could have purchased everything in there. I still have my eye on a cute little duck. The tea was super expensive because it was in a specialty European import store. Checking out the website for Nordqvist, the loose leaf has citrus peels added. Steeped for about 5 minutes at 200F. The cardamom is present and pleasant. I think the citrus would be a nice add but it’s a pretty good black tea.
Flavors: Cardamom, Spices

Day 24 Davids Tea Advent Calendar 2023
I definitely steeped this a bit too long. I became distracted while planning for summer vacation. Despite the extended steeping, I would definitely try this again. The pear, fig, and fennel works for me. It is definitely sweet but light. I nice way to round out our winter school break.
Flavors: Fennel, Fig, Pear, Raisins
