trying to make a margariTEA, based on a friend’s description. I thought she said that she mixed equal parts frozen margarita mix and tea, but that tasted a bit too much like straight up margarita mix still, so I upped it to 2 parts tea. It may be because the tea I am using is light in body/flavor – an iced green tea, sweetened with agave & sugar. Not sure if I was supposed to use sweetened, but that’s what I have on hand and felt like using. I can still taste the puckery lime so I think it’s ok. Will let it chill and mingle in the fridge for a bit and come back to it later. It’s going to be a hot day, so hopefully this will be nice to cool off with.

Preparation
Iced
Cofftea

Definitely think going 2x was the right choice. I always use enough tea for the entire volume of my beverage in something like this. Speaking of which- you gave me a great idea! Check my tasting notes soon. :)

I think the ideal mixer would be 2 parts strongly brewed, lightly sweetened iced black tea to 1 part frozen non-alcoholic margarita mix. And I suppose an ounce or two of tequila might be nice…
