Had hopes — not high hopes — for this based on the ingredients list but like most Yogi teas that have licorice root, that’s pretty much all I taste. That and lemongrass/lemon balm. And lemon oil when I burp. Some cinnamon as it cools. Meh. Also, it is very drying. Tart aftertaste.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Drying, Lemon, Lemongrass, Licorice Root, Tart

Sipdown (2589)!
I liked this tea so much more than I thought I was going to. It was relatively light bodied and smooth tasting with undertones of grassier green tea, but what really won me over I think was the dynamic balance between the citrusy and lemongrass and the cooling but sweet notes of mint. It was also just a little fruity with a tropical passionfruit lean. Reminds me a lot of Morning Detox from DT which, flavour wise, is a pretty big favourite of mine.
Maybe the best Yogi blend I’ve tried??
I was digging through the cabinet for something soothing. I’m already pretty weary this evening, so I’m hoping for a solid night sleep. I think I’ve been mixed up since DST.
This one reminds me of Traditional Medicinal Throat Coat but not as good. The licorice seems to hit me first and then the spearmint and cinnamon. It’s a rather sweet tea (Hi there, Stevia) and I don’t think adding anything more would improve it.
Flavors: Licorice, Spearmint
Preparation
Revolting. I like medicinal tastes but not artificial. There is no balance here. Not to mention it’s sickeningly sweet with the combination of licorice root and stevia. Points for valerian working.
Yogi is the worst.
Flavors: Artificial, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Floral, Licorice Root, Medicinal, Menthol, Perfume, Spearmint, Stevia, Sweet, Tangerine
I think I can count on one pinky finger the Yogi teas I’ve liked over the years, and I can’t even remember what that one was.
Agree with gmathis – there’s maybe one or two Yogi teas that I can drink on occasion, but I certainly wouldn’t call them favorites. James loves Yogi teas though so we have probably 5-10 different varieties.
Found it. My not-unfavorable review of Yogi Mayan Cocoa Spice is (man, time flies!) 12 years old and I can’t find it currently for sale. So there you go.
Awful. The taste brings back haunting memories of the 1980s and chewable children’s acetaminophen.
Flavors: Artificial, Fennel Seed, Ginger, Licorice Root, Medicinal, Rooibos, Sweet, Tangerine
Ew, nightmare tea! My parents always had the liquid bubblegum one on hand which I loved as a child for some reason T-T
Another tea bag, again from Izzy. Thank you!
The beauty of the soul is constant, continous and enless. says quote on tag.
I probably never had kombucha before. Mostly because it’s hard to find here in stores and while I finally found one, it was 2 litre bottle; which is something I didn’t wanted to throw away that much. And then, I found smaller cans, each 330 ml, but pricey.
The tea bag had lemony smell. It was pretty nice and far from dish soap. That was a nice surpise.
Even in taste, it’s lightly lemony and mostly passion fruit. I don’t get any sourness or flavours expected for kombucha, yeasty and such. If I didn’t knew it is actually kombucha, I would call it a green tea with passion fruit/lemon flavour. It is smooth and enjoyable and I am pretty happy with it. I think I noticed even a bit of sparkling :)
Flavors: Lemon, Passion Fruit
Preparation
Hmmm. since kombucha is a fermented beverage, I can’t imagine how that could be translated into a tea bag. Even though I try to drink the real thing, brewed kombucha, a few times a month for health benefits, it tastes awful, like bubbly vinegar. Glad to hear your experience was pleasant, Martin.

May 2022 → A tea flavored like a favorite baked good
I remember liking this bagged Yogi tea (one of few Yogi teas I enjoy), but today’s cup tastes very watered down. Not tasting much more than a little bit of apple really.
Flavors: Apple
Preparation
Why, oh why did they have to add stevia to this blend? It completely ruined what might have otherwise been a palatable tea. I was super excited when I took a whiff of the teabag. It had a tantalizing aroma of oranges, spearmint, and chai spices. But thanks to the stevia, what I tasted in my mouth was reminiscent of peppermint toothpaste or tiger balm. And it wasn’t just a fleeting note either. No, the weird minty taste lingered forever in the back of my throat as if I had swallowed toothpaste. The aftertaste haunted me long after I finished the tea.
I’m just going to give away what I have left of this tea because it’s that bad. I ordered Valerian Dream, an herbal blend from Rishi with similar ingredients but no sweetners and appears to be much higher quality.
Flavors: Artificial, Medicinal, Menthol, Peppermint
Preparation
Okay, at first I must say I am drinking a European version. Boxes look bit different, but I think ingredients won´t be. Today I had again of the weird days I am used to have recently. Nieces and nephew over. For whole week. For some reason I can´t understand, I fell anxious when they are around. Anxiety remained even when I went to University. Weird, whole day.
Anyway, came home and I needed a cup. It was evening, so of course something caffeine-free again. As they are around I can not enjoy anything in gaiwan, because I would not find good mood for that. And doing it when anxious makes me anxious even more.
The brew looks golden with quite lots of dust. Probably leaves were very crushed. In aroma I notice lavander, chamomile and bit of licorce. Quite pleasant.
When it comes to taste – it is quite minty, with some kind of aftertaste which remains. It is strange taste, like all herbs together – with spoon of honey. Cough drops maybe? Certainly it is off.
Well, I guess I will finish this cup and go to bed. I would not rate – I think today is not a day for rating. It would be strongly affected by my anxiety. I hope tomorrow is going to be a better day.
Preparation
This is one of my favorite after-dinner teas. The flavor is not overwhelmingly cinnamon or hibiscus – two flavors I am not a fan of individually, but in this blend I almost wouldn’t be able to tell. I frequently get an upset stomach, and I swear by this tea – it helps ease the discomfort every time. I enjoy at least one cup every day after dinner.
In my opinion, I don’t mind letting the tea bag steep the entire time while I’m enjoying the cup. The flavor deepens without getting bitter.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Hibiscus
So I have a cold (seriously, summer colds are my shtick, it seems), and this tea is suddenly amazing. I got it on a two-for-one sale and was severely disappointed with the other tea (Yogi’s Muscle Recovery, which tasted like shampoo and was immediately composted, all 20 bags at once). I was happy with this one, but it didn’t do much for me…. until now. Now, this is better than NyQuil! The fennel and ginger are doing wonders for my sore throat and faucet nose. The taste is bright and cheerful (and rather mango-ey), and it feels like clarity with every sip. Tea is my medicine now, I guess~
Flavors: Fennel Seed, Ginger, Mango
Preparation
Bizarre and kinda mediocre.
I assumed the medicinal value of the kombucha would be destroyed by the drying process, but I still really wanted to know what it would taste like. Alas, this tea is not the way to find out—the green tea/spearmint/passion fruit flavors take over.
I may try it as an ice tea or cold brewed.
Flavors: Passion Fruit, Plum, Spearmint
Finally! A Yogi tea that lives up to it’s name for once. Often the tea doesn’t end up tasting like the name and or has some unusual ingredients and tastes strange.
This tea is my favorite Yogi tea that I’ve tried to date. It’s newer and the licorice root is undetectable and perfectly balanced. It gives a subtle sweetness to the heat from the ginger. Although not enough to recognize it as licorice root. I do wish this had more mango flavor but it can be still interpreted in this blend. Whereas the other Yogi teas I’ve tried for example the Peach one couldn’t be interpreted as peach or any sort of fruit. This takes sweetener well but doesn’t need it and also takes milk well. Though I would only add a tiny bit of milk(ex. 1 tablespoon max) as not to overpower this tea. That all depends on your personal preference though and how much of the ginger you want to taste. The ginger in this blend though is definitely a forefront flavor but not up in your face like in Chai teas often and other teas because of the sweetness. I would say that people who dislike licorice root would probably like this tea and not detect it. Although I am a fan of it myself.
Flavors: Cardamom, Ginger, Mango, Sweet
