I’ve had this tea sitting in my tea canister for a period of time so I’m not sure if the flavor has weakened to the point that any tasting notes are so mild they’re almost insignificant.

Scent wise I do pick up on hints of caramel and apple but with each sip I only taste the rooibos and a slight hint of apple. The tea, otherwise, barely registers on my palate.

I may purchase this tea again once I work through the overflow I currently have and see if I notice a difference in flavor. If I do I will update my review to indicate so. For now it’s on my do-not-buy list. There are better flavored teas marketed towards “diet” that I’ve encountered.

As a first kombucha, this one was pretty good! The flavor was nice and it was smooth, but I would certainly like to see what else is out there.

I use two tea bags when I make a cup. I’ll even drink it during the day sometimes when I need to chill out and it does it’s job. It gives me a nice feeling of calmness and peace. The flavor is a bit too sweet, but I dont mind it. This tea is effective, which is why I like it.

Another I got and tried the other day. Don’t really recall the taste that much. I had a migraine brewing by the time I drank this so I was out of it and couldn’t finish this.

From what I’ve read, Kombucha loses many of the properties it’s known for when it’s boiled, so I’m not sure how effective this is from that standpoint. It gave me a little bit of a stomach ache, so if you have a sensitive stomach I’d recommend drinking it on a full stomach.

As for the taste, it was fairly mild and pleasant, and almost tasted a little carbonated (I’m assuming because of the kombucha).

Wow, lots of hate by reviewers on this tea. I don’t think it’s that bad? Is there something wrong with me?? It’s sweet and I like to have it, as it’s supposed to be, before bed. Got no problems with this tea here. ¯\(ツ)

Great green tea for when you are getting bored with the basic green tea taste. The passion fruit flavor comes through the most for me. Highly recommended.

Brewed double strength, but still does not have strong flavor. Would steep longer next time (box says 5-10 minutes). Lightly sweet mint flavor; I noticed no artificial aftertaste as some say. Contains ingredients designed to promote cognitive function—here’s hoping!

Really good with honey, but decent on its own. Honey as a sweetener really brings out the other flavors.

I like this one, but again with a little bit of bias because of the blackberry leaf and the lotus flavor. It’s really fruity, and very refreshing after a workout. As for the recovery angle of this tea, it’s specifically talking about recovering IMMEDIATELY after training, and after breathing your lungs out and beating the crap out of your body. It only helps to build muscle by lowering inflammation and giving you a wake up jolt after wards. My muscles weren’t so sore after I drank it, but it’s no magic medicine or supplement like creatine (which you can argue whether or not such supplements are good for you).

It’s honestly better with honey, but not bad at on its own. The turmeric really brings out the flavors, and is the source of its body. Really, the quality and the ingredients with their health benefits are the reason for my higher rating. I’d recommend it, but not highly and NEVER to a connoisseur. Someone who likes to try something new smooth and fruity would like this one.

Wow, this is MINTY! Mint is really all I smell when I open the bag, and I’m honestly glad. I saw licorice on the package and was worried because it seems like all of the Yogi teas I’ve tried have either licorice or sarsaparilla. I’m really not a fan of either of those. The taste of this tea has the cooling effect of mint but not really the flavor. It’s more of an herbaceous flavor and definitely artificial tasting like it has an artificial sweetener in it or something. It is also a little bitter, but I did steep it a little longer than recommended. Honestly, it’s like chewing on a backyard weed. Whether or not it helps with memory, I don’t know, but I know I won’t be drinking more of it to find out.

I was surprised how much I liked this one. I think I drank this one consistently last week. Usually I hop around between two if not three teas some days. This one I couldn’t get enough of.The more I drank it, the more I enjoyed it. The sweetness of the plum flavoring made this an addictive tea.

It could have been the ease of the prep too. Sometimes I work I don’t want to deal with loose leaf tea.

Here is the rest of my ramblings and this sweet tea!

Happy Friday all! We have an upcoming Snow Apocalypse upon us. I’m kind of excited about being snowed in with just me, the boyfriend, Netflix, and of course my tea! Excited to have a sip-down kind of weekend and see what all I’ve currently got. So while I sit here at work dreaming of the fun that is to be had, I decided to grab this beauty to get my day off and going.

This is a delish treat that I adore. This green tea is sweet without needing anything extra to it. It has that almost melon flavor to it and the green tea just mingles so well that you can hardly tell it is a green tea. Plus, this one is great for your digestion and all the other health benefits that Kombucha provides. Recommend this one for an easy cup anytime!

I dunno how I got this tea. Figure I give it a shot as I have a bag of it and I’ve gone 2 days with like 4 hours of sleep. Taste? BLEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Tastes watery with a pinch of random herbalness, ramping up to a licorice and over stevia sweet nightmare. So much stevia! The weird sweetness stays for a few minutes, leaving a funky herbal flavor after that.

OMG why so much stevia? The aftertaste of this tea reminds me of that bland, unsatisfying minty, kinda sweet, gritty toothpaste the dentist uses to polish your teeth – including metallic dental tool flavor – but hella sweeter!

I hate it when companies add stevia to blends like that. Let me decide if I want that weird stevia flavor in my cup or not, please!

Cheri

I really don’t like stevia either. The aftertaste is terrible, and it seems like it gets stronger and stronger. BLAH!

DeliriumsFrogs

If a company puts stevia in a tea FOR me, I am most definitely not pleased. The cup gets dumped, actually. ick!

dragondrool

They expect this to put you to sleep when they make it have a nasty aftertaste that nags at you? :)

juliebeth

one more downvote for stevia. ew.

Important Note:
This is not an actual tasting note, as I haven’t been able to brew a cup and don’t intend to.

I was given a box of this tea, or it wouldn’t be in my house. I don’t know why Yogi seems to think licorice goes with everything, but just the scent of the stuff makes me gag. Perhaps I’m super-sensitive, but I’m getting a nauseating licorice whiff from the sealed box. I note that licorice is the second item on the “Proprietary Blend of Herbs,” right under peppermint. Frankly, there is not enough peppermint on the planet to negate the nasty yuck factor of licorice.

Bottom Line:

If you hate licorice, avoid this tea like the plague. If you love licorice, you’ll probably be delighted. Me, I’m planning to foist this box off on the first of my friends that expresses an interest.

This is one of the first teas that I haven’t had to add any sweetner to. Very apple cider meets a light black tea. I had four cups of this within the first 24 hours of trying it. I was a teeny tiny bit obsessed.

It’s hard not to get caught up in the latest health-conscious fad when you live in Vancouver, and this time, kombucha beckoned.

Like many others, I found the taste of unflavoured kombucha to be disagreeable (read: cat piss). To my relief, the Yogi tea bags far surpassed my expectations, as they tasted mild and sweet with a hint of tangy, minty kombucha goodness.

Bonus: The steeping process was painless and hassle-free, as it is nearly impossible to oversteep this.

They’ve now become one of my staple bagged teas, and I’m now on my second box.
