drank L'Hiver (Winter Tea) by Fauchon

I got this from QueenOfTarts Tea Stash Sale. Thank you! I am so glad I picked the last few cups up from you. I am always in search of a good lemon tea.

When I opened the package the overpowering smell of lemon grass hit my nose and I was a bit scared. First taste, the lemon grass is there with the creamy vanilla. I wish the grassyness of the lemongrass was a bit more mellow, but overall this is really good.

I steeped this a second time and the zing of the lemon was a bit less bringing out a bit more of the creamy vanilla. I have never had the creamy lemon combo in tea before. I may have to search Steepster to see what other teas our out there like this. Great bed time tea!

This was Day #7 in the 12 Days of Christmas Swap of 2013. Thank you TeaTee!!

So being new to tea, I had know idea what to expect when I saw that this was a straight ceylon. I had read a few reviews on steepster. It seems ceylon is hit or miss with folks. This was a hit for me. To me it seemed like a light black tea that was a bit fruity and sweet. I just kept refilling my cup today.

This was a sample that was included in the 12 Days of Christmas swap. This is another sample that I may not have labeled correctly in my packing rush, but I believe I owe a huge thanks to Isalia!

This was a great morning tea. It was full bodied, bold tea. I got an assam/ceylon flavor. I drank about half the cup straight and then decided to add a bit of honey and milk since I was home for the morning and had access to these. I am glad there is still a bit left. I will enjoy this one. Thank you!

drank Milky Oolong by Tea Desire

Day #8 for the 12 Days of Christmas swap. Thank you Roswell!

I LOVE Milky Oolong. It is by far one of my favorite teas. I was hoping whoever had day 8 would provide a milk oolong:) This had an interesting twist. It had a much darker (not as green oolong) taste than the other milky oolongs I have had. It had a bit of a caramel flavor too it and a little less milky-ness to it. I like. I wish I had a few more cups of this to compare cup to cup with.

Glad you liked it :)

I received this as a sample in the 12 days of Christmas swap and unfortunately in the rush of trying to get packed for vacation and take some of the 12 days of tea this sample did not get labeled right. Thank you to the person that sent this my way.

This was a nice calming afternoon tea. I have never had bagged white tea before this so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was an enjoyable cup. Thank you.

drank Blackberry Mojito by Teavana
694 tasting notes

Every since drinking a cup of Blue Blanc, I have been craving a blueberry tea. This one has been hiding in my cupboard waiting for warmer days to have ice tea. I pulled it out and drank it hot tonight. I have always enjoyed this tea, but never understood how it got named “mojito”. No matter how I drink this, hot or cold, I do not get any hint of mint. I also am unable to pick out the green tea base, but this seems to be standard in Teavana teas for me.

Oh my goodness. I have had a string of not so steller cups of tea in the past 2 days, and this tea made up for them all. One sip and I was in heaven. I love the Carmel Vanilla Assam and so I was pretty sure that I would enjoy this. I saw someone describe a very comforting tea as a “tea hug”. That is exactly what this was for me today! Yummy!

I got this as a sample from Stacey with one of my recent Butiki orders. Thank you for allowing me to try this!

I brewed this per the instructions and it just didn’t seem to be for me. I have had some straight assam’s before and nothing has ever been so bitter for me. This just hit my mouth wrong. I wish I had more to experiment with to see if it was just me rushing through the preparation. The tasting notes online sounded really intriguing.

Butiki Teas

Hmmm, this one should be astringency & bitterness free.

I had this last night. The juiciness of this really surprised me. The apple flavor shone through and the lemon and pomegranate seemed to act a bit in the background to make the apple seem tart. I really really wanted to like this, but the spice/cinnamon seemed to take over a bit too much for me. If you like cinnamon in your tea, this is a good one to try.

I opened this sample up and saw whole blueberry’s and got really excited! This smells sooo good. I tried a cup of this straight and it seemed like a cup of black tea with a hint of blueberry. For my second cup I added a bit of sugar and milk and it brought out the flavor a bit and made it a bit more cream cheese-ish. It is enjoyable cup, but not sure I need to have this again.

I started drinking tea while on a 4 month long cycling trip through South America. It seemed to always be a great way to warm up when I was cold and it was always available everywhere. Mate was the big tea of choice down there and it was also a great way to get to know people. When I returned home, my sister introduced me to Teavana and this launched me into the realm of loose leaf tea.
