I ran out of tea at work yesterday and found this sachet in the back of my drawer. Who knows how long it had been there so I have no idea how old the tea was. This was an interesting cup for me. When I first sipped I got the vanilla and then i got hit by the citrus. It was the after taste that got me. The after taste of the citrus left me thinking citrus cleaner. It may have been the oldness of the tea. Seeing the very positive reviews of the tea I don’t want to write this one off yet.

This was the tea for the 10th day of Christmas in the 12 days of Christmas swap. Thanks Kelci!

This was a very light straight black tea. I might have steeped this incorrectly. My cup ended up being very bitter. I will have to give it another go.

I received a sample of this in the 12 days of Christmas swap. Thank you!!!. I love mint tea!! I have had one other guayusa and I wasn’t too sure of it. This was definitely more mint than anything else. Very nice afternoon cup!

This was the tea for the 11th day of Christmas in the 12 days of Christmas swap. Thank you Isaila!!

I have had 2 cups of this so far. The first cup seemed much sweeter than the second. It could just be my mood or the way I steeped. I taste the malty-ness of the assam, and I get the vanilla, but I am having a hard time detecting the apple and the coconut, maybe this just adds to the sweetness of the tea? I see the apple pieces in the blend, but get no hint of the apple flavor. I am finding I really enjoy vanilla assam teas. This was a very enjoyable cup of morning tea. Thank you!

This is the tea for day #9 of the 12 days of Christmas. Thank you Khaleesical!

I will be honest, I was a bit scared of this one and I can’t even give you a valid reason why. Maybe the warning about not over steeping, maybe my last encounter with Irish breakfast tea, whatever it was I am glad I got over it because this is a pretty enjoyable cup of tea!

From the dry leaf I get the spicy fruity/ginger smell. The tea steeped has a nice balance of malty, ginger and cream. I was expecting this tea to be a bit astringent, but I am not getting much of that. This was a great tea for my morning cup. This is again another tea that I would have never picked to try on my own that I am really liking from the swap!

This was the tea for the 12th day of Christmas! Thank you KatieK!

This is a very nice white tea. It was a nice sweet hay base. Sometimes with white tea I tend to want more flavor, and I get more of a water taste than I would like. This seemed to be the right amount of flavor. I had this before bed and it was a very nice calming tea.

KatieK included this as an extra in the 12 days of Christmas swap. Thank you!

The flavors of this are so nice. The apple makes this tea naturally sweet and the cinnamon is light but makes the tea somewhat like apple cider. My first cup of this was a little weak. For my next try I will add a bit more leaf and maybe a touch of sugar. The 12 days of Christmas swap has allowed me to try a lot of teas I would have never picked out for myself. This is another one that I would have never picked on my own, but I am really really enjoying.

After really liking the Cream Earl Grey that I got in a swap I found this lonely sachet in my stash. When i opened the bag I was pretty scared. It had a very strong bergamot smell that I associate with pepper. The smell however is much much stronger than the actual tea. I get a hint of bergamot and a nice balance with the black tea in the back. It is a nice cup a tea. Not my favorite, but very enjoyable.

CelebriTEA sent a sample of this along with the 12 days of Christmas swap. Thank you CelebriTEA!

I have had Earl Grey once before and only once. It was such a bad experience that I had chosen to neglect it. This sample forced me to give it a go again and man it was soooo goooood. I know this is a bit of a twist on the standard Earl Grey, but this has opened my mind back up to giving other Earl Grey teas a try. I loved the creamy taste, and how it blended with the citrusy taste of the bergamot.

I started drinking tea while on a 4 month long cycling trip through South America. It seemed to always be a great way to warm up when I was cold and it was always available everywhere. Mate was the big tea of choice down there and it was also a great way to get to know people. When I returned home, my sister introduced me to Teavana and this launched me into the realm of loose leaf tea.
