15350 Tasting Notes
It’s been a pretty Long week for me and my other half. We’re supposed to be getting up and going to the gym but it’s raining outside and he’s still asleep. I don’t get much weekend time with him but because it’s been such a crazy week for us, I decided to let him sleep in, brew myself a cup of tea and take some quiet time to read a book and decide on my tea purchases for this weekend :) listening to the rain and the cars rushing by outside, makes me appreciate the warmth and deliciousness of this tea. Warm malty tones that glide down my throat soothing my throat and making me smile. These are the moments to relish….the here and now because you never know what the next moments will bring. Mmmmm
Sooo…. I can’t give this a rating because i pretty much screwed up brewing my sample a la not enough tea for the water i dumped it in. That being said, from what i can tell i probably would have really enjoyed this tea :) soooo yeah. that’s my story. I’m sticking to it. so there. neener neener neener!
Today’s morning is brought to you by banana, raspberry cheesecake with a spash of caramel! The focus here was cheesecake matcha but I love adding frozen fruit to my smoothies in the morning. Servings of fruit and milk to kick off the morning with yummy cheesecake goodness! I’m getting SUPER excited for my vacation after seeing pictures of the characters on the cruise – this might be the first time i actually get pictures with characters….i’m such a big kid. :)
I don’t wanna grow up… I’m a toys-r-us kid… :D
i think i might have put a bit much matcha in this today… i’ve been bouncing and dancing around the office all morning…. my coworkers think i’m nuts
haha must be in the Steepster air. I’ve been doing the same… but had only regular tea!
I’m all out of my favorite chai teas so this is my back up. That being said, it’s still a good tea, just not my favourite. I’m almost out of this one as well, so that not only makes me sad, but happy because it means i’m working my way through all of the teas that I went crazy buying when i first got into steepster :)
Backlogging this as I’m not sure how i don’t have a rating on this one. From what i recall it was a bit underwhelming for me. It may just be that I’m not a fan of mate. I’ll try and have this a few more times on the weekend for a better review :)
I am also not a huge fan of mate, but my husband loves it. Maybe I could try this and find a happy medium. Thanks for the preliminary rating!
Lesli a few people on here really love this blend-its a regular on 52 teas. If you’re wanting to try it I could send you some, though likely won’t get around to it until mid October with our impending trip.
Adjusting this ratingdown a bit. I don’t get much in the way of sweet caramel, and I wish there was a bit more spice…which is a little dumb cause I don’t know many candy apples that have spice on them. Heh. Over all this is a nice tea, just a little weak in terms of intensity of flavours. :)
While I very much appreciated and enjoyed the samples I have received of DTT tea I also found the flavouring a bit weak. Doubling up can really help, at least with the few I tried.
Uniquity – yeah i find that a lot. I don’t mind doubling up, but I guess I also don’t want to have to keep adding extra tea to bring it up to the strength I like heh. I may be in the minority there though :)
