15074 Tasting Notes
I’m finding that the “easiest” way to get a sipdown in at work this week is to use the samples of TTC teas that cavocorax gave me haha. Then i can get a second one in at night during the week when i have a herbal :) This one i’ve had before but it was still enjoyable. that being said, i see no need to go with the upgrade version, as i like the non upgraded version better :) thanks for letting me revisit this one Cavo!
omgsrsly sent this one my way and i was super excited because i do love me some lime flavoured type teas and having the sage there sounded interesting. Sadly even after letting this brew FOREVER, it’s still just kind of a limey creamy sort of tea. It’s nice, but not what i was expecting of hoping for, if that makes sense. Still though, a nice cup to end the day on given my meat coma at the moment from dinner at Copa Cabana (brazillian restaurant where the meat keeps coming….).
Final Count: 182 (3 days left until steepsterversary!)
Mmm, meat coma. :) Yeah, I was hoping for more sage too. Generally teas with food type herbs in the name need more of those herbs.
That makes me think of the grill house we went to occasionally in Giayaquil , Ecuador. It was called Parilla del Nato, I think, it was named after a football star otherwise known as the nose if anyone is wondering. It is a mid range chain in Guayaquil and its suburbs and the portions are huge. I used to bring home the leftovers and they would feed 4-5 people from one order.
variaTEA dropped this off and i knew i had to try this one and the others sooner, rather than later, in case i fall in love with any of them and decide that i NEED ONE over the summer. THis? This is liquid sugar and absolutely NOTHING that i need in my cupboard, but i will give it to david’s that if you like a cup full of sugar, this will fit the bill lol. I give it total props for being just like cotton candy, but some things…weren’t meant to be a tea flavour. :)
it’s back! in my cupboard! and so i drank it..because i have no self control lol. Oh well, i’ll spend the rest of the week trying to catch up on sipdowns i think but today, today i just wanted good, delicious teas at work.
It’s in mine too and I am so glad you and Terri raved about it so much that I got some without doing a sample first. It’s delicious.
mmmmm so goooooood. Gotta love teas where the teas you pick just work out…well at least while i was at work earlier. had this one and a couple others as a treat to kick monday off right given my crappy weekend. Can’t wait until i have a giant bursty bag of this in my house again…for now.. we make the last little bit from cavo last me until it gets here :)
variaTEA gave me some of this so i opted to try cold brewing first..came home and guzzled it down. It’s pretty good but there is a weird taste to it that i wasn’t a fan of and it smells funky lol which should be a recipe for dislike, but instead i enjoyed it. Going to try it hot next i think just to see if that works or hot brewed then cooled :) thanks variatea! fun to try new teas…even if it does make me wanna sing puff the magic dragon all day…
Final Count: 184 (need to catch up and try for an extra sipdown every day this week to stay on track!)
thanks for sending this one my way MissB this is a good solid HELLO MORNING tea :) There’s a deep feeling to this one and it’s not a thin brew at all. It’s bold and hearty without being too much, if that makes sense. there’s a taste at the end of the sip that is different from many of the other teas i’ve had as well, which makes for a pleasant and interesting cup of tea :)
Oh shoot. I tried to send ones you hadn’t tried before!
haha i like revisiting old friends :)
