Caramel sweetness. I will try to infuse this for longer in the future.

Forefront flavour of tea is a bit flat. I am detecting notes of candy licorice sweetness.

Winter 2016 tea

Dry leaf has a distinct floral aroma- maybe lily flower if I had to choose. Half of a cake used.

Brewed tea has an aroma of ripe bananas with a bit of a malty tone which reminds me of banana bread. The brewed tea flavour reminds me of toasted bananas. Medium-thick mouthfeel and sweet on the finish. Toasted floral notes in the background.

Dry leaf has a sweet malty aroma. Brewed tea has a creamy velvety aroma. Thick mouthfeel. Sweet on the finish. Sweet milky pudding note. A bit of grapefruit in the aftertaste.

The licorice was too overpowering in this blend and didn’t fit in well with the flavour profile. I would have liked more of a tart citrus note from the lemon and a bit more spice from the ginger. This is not what I would expect lemon and ginger to taste like.

One teabag used.

Good lychee flavour. Very thin mouthfeel black tea. Black tea tastes stale and bitter.

Thin moutfeel. Quite flavourful and good combination of flavours.

Really great rice flavour with roasted and vegetal tones. The brewed tea has a very nice aroma. This brew would probably pair nicely with a savoury meal. Sweet matcha-like aftertaste.
