328 Tasting Notes
This is the first oolong from Wild Orchid that I have tried. The dry leaves smell faintly of powdered orange drink. After steeping, however, the tea has a strong orange blossom (?) aroma and tastes very flowery. It is impossible to detect any subtle complexities in the oolong as the floral aroma and flavor are too overwhelming. The aroma/flavor are a bit more subdued in the second infusion, but I still can’t quite hack my way through the perfume. I have tried a few flavored oolongs, and I’m not adverse to flower-scented teas, but the florals in this tea are way too overpowering to enjoy the cup.
