Dry leaves smell like curry! Aroma does not carry over to infused tea which (with milk and sugar) tastes mildly spiced. Pleasant, but not memorable.

Again part of the sampler from Wild Orchid Teas—aroma of dry leaves was definitely of strawberries. Labeled as “naturally flavored” but no strawberries (dried or otherwise) are to be found in the blend. Prepared as recommended. Tea was pleasant at the outset with a sweet, fruity flavor. However, a strange, strong metallic flavor/aftertaste developed as the tea cooled. Will not be repeating the experience.

A delicious cup—definite caramel-ly aroma and flavor with the real caramel bits in blend. Creamy without added milk; lightly sweet. A luscious dessert tea or afternoon pick-me-up. 2nd infusion is cloudy with a slight reduction in flavor but still tasty.

Very much in the British blend tradition. Medium astringency but no bitterness. Flowery scent with sweet notes and a hint of tobacco. Takes milk well.

Cookies for breakfast. Lovely, comforting cup. Tea has slightly nutty flavor balanced nicely with the spice.

This tea smells like white chocolate! It’s also a pretty blend with big white chamomile blossoms. The taste is delicate but interesting with subtle nutty notes.

This tea has grown on me. I did not take to it the first time I tried it, but I now find it a pleasant, soothing cup—watched my water temperature and steep time carefully. Nice to sip while watching the snowstorm that hit us yesterday!

Heading for the red yucky face, I’m afraid, with this one. Dry leaves have a very strong medicinal aroma—like red cough drops. Found 2 dried cranberries in the sampler tin, so artificial flavoring seems to be the culprit. Liquor also has strong off-putting aroma. The liquor itself seems syrupy and has an almost cloying aftertaste. I probably won’t even finish the sampler tin. Most unfortunate.

Still logging holiday teas—although several seem very similar. Usual blend of black tea, citrus peel, almonds, rose petals, vanilla, spices. Pleasant spicy flavor with developing orange note. Good with milk, probably sugar, as one wishes.

Not bad, just not great. A bit high in tannin, but a splash of milk smooths it out. Spicy but not overly so. Not picking up either the orange or almond notes.

Love this tea for winter! Well-balanced chocolate and spice notes. I received this as part of a holiday sampler from Upton Tea Imports but will definitely reorder.
