I have received this tea (bag) as a gift; so I am looking forward for it. Probably my first pure Kenyan tea.

Mug 300 ml, 3+ minutes of steeping.

In aroma I was hit by malt, but also some fruit notes? But mostly strong malt or/and typical “black tea” aroma. Something like breakfast blend. As it cools down I noticed also freshly baked bread aroma.

Liquor is nice, clear dark copper colour. I am amazed how it´s clear – I am not really expecting it in tea bag.

Taste is smooth and malty. In fact something I expected something like that in black tea. And as it is pure black tea, without any additives – it is great! Yeah, it tastes really like a breakfast blend (too bad that I am drinking it in 7 pm :D ) If I have honey, I can imagine put some in. I prefer teas plain, but bit of honey taste can make it even bit better. It goes bit bitter – but still, quite good to drink. If I have another tea bag, I will shorten a steeping time a bit.

If you have a chance to get it – I recommend!

I caught some common cold, so I took some fruity tea. This should increase my metabolism, but I don´t care. I just wanted something easy drinking.

Aroma is really blueberry and raspberry as on sample (actually coupon) bag written.

Colour – clear and deep red.

Taste is quite medicinal, hibiscus and rosehips and fruits. Probably mix of blue/raspberry. At least it is fruity and not artificial. Or well done artificial.

In conclusion, quite good, not so sweet, fruit blend.

I took this pu-erh while they offered free shipping above reasonable price and I could not resist. I think that price 4.50 USD for quite nice pack of tea.

I made first steep 15 seconds long and then each other 30 seconds.
First aroma I have noticed is cocoa which is not mentioned here at all! Then wet soil – but in pleasant way. In third steep I noticed bit mineral notes. Still bit creamy – sweet.

Colour has changed a lot – from light brown to really deep red-brown. And it looks bit oily.

Ah, I forgot one steeping in gaiwan. But it is forgiving – it is still very nice to drink. I like it very much. I have not counted number of steeps – I just really like this pu-erh; easy drinking for beginners as I am. Clearly recommended!

Another cuppa, hotter water.

It changed quite a lot. It still smells like jasmine. But in taste there were some notes of stonefruits and now even bit of apricot and/or honey. It is smoother than last time, with little notes of jasmine as it colds down.

Colour of liquor is darker, rather orange, but tastes like green tea. Maybe better batch than last time? Or temperature of water changed it so much? Interesting though, better than last time!

Another rating, higher one.

I didn´t measured the mass of dry leafs and used completely random mug that was at home.

Something has happened to this tea. It was much more delicate and better. Maybe colder water. Or hotter water? No measuring again; just first bubbles coming out of stovetop kettle. I think it was about three or four grams of tea.

Nevermind; the tea was amazing. Liquor hay green and clear; full of hay aroma with notes of jasmine. Not mentioning that it was like “full-bodied”. I don´t find that in green teas very often.

Taste was great too; more jasmine notes, but also lots of fresh hay. Leaves were really big and nice. That changes my opinion maybe too!

As I said, certainly higher rating than last time. 80/100, and I wonder if I get higher!

TL,DR: Raspberry red liquor, ripe raspberries aroma and taste.

Honestly I like Basilur as a brand. Their teas are affordable and worth the price. I felt like having a fruit tea today and found this one in my stash. Raspberries were very dominant in dry tea bag aroma, but as I know – it can change rapidly when brewed. Not this time though. It was even more raspberry in aroma. But still it was quite nice. After about 6 minutes of brewing I removed the tea bag and it was still very raspberry. Liqour colour was raspberry red and clear. Taste was though bit bland, I have expected more sweetness and few other fruits in. But everything was raspberry.

Drinkable, fine, but bit boring tea.

Last few grams, about 2-3. Strainer, 300 ml of water. Unfortuntely quite tea dust, but there were bigger leaves before.

Quite good tea, liquor somewhere between gold and copper, cloudy. Aroma is mostly malty and bit of lemon zest, same with taste – where is lemon zest more dominant with slight afternote of malt. It´s quite bitter too, but not somehow awfully.

Overall, I think it´s quite above the average, especially when it was last cuppa with dusty, broken, tea. Good Ceylon after all.

Tea bag, boiling water and about 300 ml.

Dry smell is strong bergamot with little notes of lavender. But it smells quite good. I was afraid that one of that aromas will overpower second one, but it mixes quite good together.

Bit cloudy, red-brown liquor without oil spots. In aroma bit stronger lavender; with citrus notes of bergamot. Smooth taste where are bergamot notes stronger than lavender; but not overpowering the taste. I also think that 5 minutes steeping (as suggested) is bit too much, it become bit bitter for me. Not extra bitter though. Not so much tea taste there.

In conclusion I am rather surprised, because I expected awfully bitter black tea (as I know that from tea bags). But it isn´t and it is rather round and fresh taste. Nice work for tea-bag!

I prepared it today in a gaiwan.
3 grams of tea, 85 ml vessel, 30 seconds rinse, steeps: 30 s, 30 s, 40 s, 30 s(first noticed slowly going bland), 40 s, 50 s, 60 s (7 steeps total)

I must rate this tea higher than last time.

Strong roasted pear flavour with first steeps. Liquor clear and golden. Taste roasted fruits (pear) and lingering. Little notes of hay though, bit caramel flavours. But I like it, it´s quite complex taste.

Fruit tea – so I don´t expect much.

When I took bag from foil wrapping aroma punched me into nose. Plums, plums everywhere. After adding boiling water it immediately started turning red (thanks to hibiscus and rosehips) and after 8 minutes of steeping (recommended) mug is filled with dark and deep red liquor. Now it smells like artificial plum cake with lots of cinnamon.

In taste it is rather bland and not very plum taste. Bit sour, bit sweet, bit cinnamon. Not much plums – but it´s quite good. Even bit bland. Just common fruit tea which is supposed to be plum one.

I haven´t got big expectations, so it´s quite good anyway. Nothing extra though. A little bit more than 50
