Sri Lanka’s ‘champagne of teas’. Expect a lively medium bodied flavoursome tea, with a bright liquid and a splendid perfume. Grown at high altitude in Nuwara Eliya, amongst steep hills 6500ft – 9000ft above sea level. Excellent after dinner.

Last few grams, about 2-3. Strainer, 300 ml of water. Unfortuntely quite tea dust, but there were bigger leaves before.

Quite good tea, liquor somewhere between gold and copper, cloudy. Aroma is mostly malty and bit of lemon zest, same with taste – where is lemon zest more dominant with slight afternote of malt. It´s quite bitter too, but not somehow awfully.

Overall, I think it´s quite above the average, especially when it was last cuppa with dusty, broken, tea. Good Ceylon after all.
