250 Tasting Notes
The smell reminds me of key lime soda, if it tastes that good I’ll be impressed!
Tried this hot first, not really a fan. The flavour doesn’t stand out, but I can definitely taste the yogurt pieces…
So, I let it cool in the fridge and WOW! What a difference! This is a tea that is really supposed to be iced, all the flavours come out: lime, lemongrass, hints of pineapple, a creaminess which must be the yogurt, with the slightest taste of fresh green tea. Almost does taste like key lime soda, just without the fizz and the sugar-rush.
Preparation
Initially this tea smells like sour cherry gummies, but what about the taste?
The first thing I taste are the cherries—tart, juicy cherries— with hints of apple and the slightest bit of white tea base, no mango though, although the description says that there is mango in this tea. Maybe I just need to mix up my bag a little better to get some mango bits in there for next time. All-in-all, a pleasant, easy-drinking tea. Not too sweet or overpowering, but I do wonder why they put such a strong flavour (cherry) with a base of white tea? Probably could’ve just left the white tea out entirely and it would have tasted the same…
Preparation
Smelled like bubblegum, which is what drew me in, however, the flavour left me disappointed.
I brewed according to directions and still turned out rather weak with the plum flavour barely noticable above the green tea. Glad this was a limited tea because I won’t be restocking.Preparation
One of my all time favourite teas, this was one of the only things I could tolerate during my pregnancy due to intense morning sickness and cravings for sushi. I tend to think of sushi when I drink this tea due to a pot always being offered when my husband and I frequent our local sushi place. It’s delicious and nutty, like rice crispies treats without the overwhelming sweetness. I could drink this all day…
