Another lavender tea from the tea box – I’m not complaining! The main flavor is lavender with the bit of bitterness that lavender brings. The lavender flavor really lingers in your mouth. The black base definitely adds some complexity to the blend, but I’m not sure I would know it’s black tea if I hadn’t seen the leaves going in. So I like this blend, but I don’t like it better than S&V’s lavender lace, which is caffeine-free.
From the tea box! The green is pretty mild with a tiny bit of bitterness. The fruit flavor is pretty light as well. I taste maybe papaya or mango. So if you like light fruity greens, this is a tea you would enjoy. They’re not my absolute favorite, but I’m still enjoying this one.
This is probably the best smelling tea from the tea box, so I had to try it! It reminds me of Harney’s hot cinnamon sunset flavor, but with a bit more complexity. The flavor is mostly cinnamon. Sugar makes the flavor pretty pleasant. While it’s tasty, it’s not really special enough to keep around. I think the Harney version is a little bit better, but I don’t even keep that one around anymore since I haven’t gravitated toward spicy teas lately.
From the tea box! I usually really enjoy lavender teas, so I was looking forward to this one. I did a short steep, so I’m probably lacking a bit of flavor, but the primary flavor is a pleasant lavender with a little bit of other herbiness underneath. There’s a tiny bit of bitterness, which sometimes happens with this type of blend. So this is a decent lavender tea, but I have a few others on my shelf that I much prefer.
Tried a tiny bit of this from the tea box. I don’t normally drink straight tea, so my review for this is pretty meaningless. I did a short steep, so it wasn’t at all bitter. With a little sugar, it was pretty smooth and tasty. Tastes similar to other black teas I’ve had. Other than that, I can’t speak to its quality.
My only sample from the tea box for today! Now this is rooibos done right! One bag brewed a flavorful cup of tea. The rooibos flavor is pleasant and not at all woody or weird. There’s also a bit of vanilla. I like this one a lot! It’s very sweet and refreshing with some sugar.
Sorry for so many posts these past few days. I’m trying to get through the tea box teas so I can ship it out soon. Anyway, I don’t usually go for chocolate mint teas, but it’s there, so why not?! The main flavor is mint, with the chocolate being pretty subdued. The mint flavor tastes a bit like alcohol, like from mint extract. It manages to be a lot less artificial than the Adagio version of this though. So a bit bitter, but pleasant enough!
Herbal tea from the tea box! Unfortunately, this is too savory for me. It’s just a really strange combo of herbs. I bought a few things from the American Tea Room going out of business sale, and I didn’t like any of them. Something about their blends just doesn’t work for me! The main flavors are fennel, sour, and mint.
I love the taste of fennel, so I was happy to find a sleepy blend that didn’t taste of chamomile, which I can’t stand, heh. The valerian root in it knocks me flat on my butt.
What a fun blend from the tea box! I don’t like coffee, so I was hesitant to try this, but when I saw the little caramel pieces in there, I had to! So it tastes kind of like coffee and kind of like a caramel tea. Whatever they’re using to get the coffee flavor is a little unpleasant to my tastes, but I could see a coffee lover enjoying this one a lot! I added sugar and milk.
ooh, I’ve had a hankering for a nice light butterscotch that isn’t overdone; this sounds like a good candidate!
