259 Tasting Notes
Literally my hero for this slow Monday morning. I can’t believe it’s gonna be back in the 70’s and 80’s this week :(
Same temps here, but Sunday night is going to be in the upper 40’s if they don’t snatch that away from us at the last minute!
I really love this blend, while it looks a bit like the traditional pumpkin chai that a lot of blends come out with around this time of the year, I think that this one leans more into the cinnamon and creme brulee notes which I love. It’s perfect for the cozy cold day in I’m having!
Flavors: Burnt Sugar, Caramel, Cinnamon, Pumpkin
This blend is nice; it’s not a favorite but I’ll drink it. It vaguely reminds me of Paris by Harney and Sons because I didn’t pomegranate at all. It’s a shame, I like pomegranates. Though it has that touch of vanilla that Paris has but its just tannic and bitter, unlike Paris which is smooth and creamy.
Flavors: Artificial, Berry, Bitter, Burnt, Tannic, Vanilla
Um… LOVE this blend! I was very hesitant because it smelled very sweet because of the apple, pumpkin, and caramel flavor. However, is so delicious. When you first sip it, you get the apple-y bit of the apple pumpkin muffin. Then, when you keep sipping you pick up the mild pumpkin bread notes with a hint of maple. Maybe it’s just the caramel but I get apple maple pumpkin bread without any spice. I really enjoyed it, I will likely be grabbing another bag before it retires in November.
Flavors: Alcohol, Apple, Bread, Caramel, Icing, Maple, Pumpkin
This blend is definitely wine-y, let’s be clear… I’m not a merlot or red wine drinker, I’m more of a White Russian kinda gal. However, this is a great “mocktail” blend to drink with friends so I don’t feel left out! I do like this one, it reminds me of flat kombucha maybe?
Flavors: Alcohol, Berry, Black Currant, Hibiscus, Red Currant, Red Wine, Sour, Tangy, Tannic, Tart
I like this blend, please don’t get me wrong. It’s nice but I don’t get pistachio orange cookie from it. I think the pu-erh base and the Dragon pearls take over, the citrus note is only noticeable in the scent that wafts off the cup but the pistachio note is vaguely there. That being said, it’s a nice cuppa to wind down with. Would I get it again? I’m not sure. Will I finish the bag? Yes, absolutely!
Flavors: Citrus, Earth, Musk, Nutty, Smoke, Tea
Gongfu session time! For the first time in a while, I’ve finally sat down to have a proper tea session whilst still doing homework, dreary and boring I know…
This pu-erh was pretty nice, not my favorite from White2Tea but it was nice to wind down with as I did my homework in our covered porch listening to the early fall rain. Something about drinking a nice Pu-erh, studying Greek Mythology, and listening to The 1975 is so peaceful to me. Even though it brings me a ton of stress, I love school haha!
Flavors: Earth, Paper, Tea, Wet Wood, Wood
This blend is tart and hibiscus-forward, if you’re not into that it’s not for you. However, I think it complements the cranberry and apple really well. I think it is a perfect blend to perk up with on this cool rainy day we’re having here in NY.
Flavors: Apple, Cranberry, Hibiscus, Red Wine
