About The Tea
Our Yunnan Silver Needle White Tea was harvested in early to mid-spring (2014) and carefully processed to preserve the purity of the leaf. With pure nearly-opened buds covered in down white hairs, this tea is as beautiful to look at as it is to taste! Yunnan Silver Needle opens with a velvety sweet body with base notes of honeysuckle and melon, complimented by light cinnamon and hay notes. The aftertaste is reminiscent of fresh-cut sweet basil leaves, and lingers on for minutes after the last sip. A fantastic silver needle!

This is note #250! I guess I shouldn’t make a big deal about that, but I reached #100 without noticing and thought, ah well #200 I’ll notice…big nope. That one blew past me without even ruffling my hair. So I noticed this one and have been saving it for a worthy tea (even though I have a tasting note backlog) and this tea is definitely worthy.

I just love the leaves of my this tea. They’re a lovely silver green, perfectly plump, and oh-so-soft with their fine coating of down. How could you not love this tea? It’s adorable. “I will name him George…And I will hug him and squeeze him and pet him and pat him and…” wait, what? Oh yeah, TEA!

Specifically this tea. The taste and smell are also soft and inviting. Sweet hay and honeysuckle. Yum! The sip begins with a delicate sweet hay, which melds into honeysuckle. Then, these notes start to fade as if you’ve just smelled them on a fresh spring breeze right after the rain. The finish is clean and refreshing, like a swallow of cold alpine water. It is like drinking the springtime sunshine after a long winter.

This tea makes me rejoice in the soft, nourishing, and lovely side of nature from inside my tiny apartment in a major metropolitan area. But if you hate fresh air, light, and the splendor of nature, never buy this tea. MOAR FOR ME. Muahahaha. It gets better every time I drink it

This is a delicious silver needle.
The aroma is sweet to me like honeysuckle, when the water hits it the aroma fill the air with sweetness :)
The flavor delicate but tasty with sweet notes of honeysuckle and hay with a slightly spicy woody almost peppery note with a faint familiar aftertaste that I cant quite place on the first steeping.
On the second steep it was still delicate but not as much as the first Sweet with a little more hay notes this time and the woody note is a little stronger with the same lingering aftertaste.
Third steep is a little delicate again with hay notes still and the honeysuckle notes changed more into just a sweet honey type note kinda like clover honey the woody peppery note is more like sandalwood now and the aftertaste I’ve decided is like Basil as stated in the description.
Fourth steep was weak but still quite drinkable but its probably best to stop at three.
The wet leafe looks like little string beans lol

Flavors: Honey
