One of our younglings at work brought me a sample bag today. While my standard conclusion is generally “chamomile is always going to taste like chamomile, no matter what quality the tea,” I’m going to back off a little and compliment Twinings on a nice balance that isn’t too heavy-handed on either the flowers or the flavor. The honey and vanilla are convincingly naturally sweet and set off the chamomile quite nicely.

And if it improves the quality of tonight’s rest even by a degree or two, so much the better!

I was gifted a single teabag of this blend. Very glad it was given to me, as I never would have purchased it on my own- I’ve been burned by honey/chamomile blends too many times before. They always have stevia (blechhhh) or licorice root so strong it dominates the entire cup. Luckily, this one has neither and made for a really lovely evening blend. The chamomile is most dominant, with a bit of honey and vanilla balancing the chamomile out nicely.

Actually quite a nice bedtime blend and one I would purchase in the future.

I like this one a lot with a little extra honey for an unexpected sore throat remedy.

This one is dreamy and perfect for the pre-bedtime ritual!

This is one of my favorite teas for days when I am feeling under the weather and it’s cold outside. The honey and vanilla give it a very warm and comforting taste while the camomile adds just the right amount of relaxation to it. I love to drink this at night if I’ve had a rough day and just need a warm mug of tea and a good book.

This tea is one of my absolute favorite night time teas. It calms me down and soothes me so much. On some nights – especially when my sinuses are acting up – it’s so nice to add a drop or two of lemon juice and a bit of honey. It’s my current replacement for sleepytime tea.

Used the Keurig at work to get some hot water and make this. I’m not always the biggest fan of chamomile, but with this it blended with the rest of the flavors and made a nice sweet honey flavor overall

Maybe it’s just my aversion to K-Cups, but on the occasions I’ve messed with a coffee drinker’s Keurig, even plain water tasted like plastic and dirty coffee. Is there a trick to it that doesn’t involve dismantling and scrubbing?

Emilie

Maybe it’s just that its really new? Also our office doesn’t actually stock K-cups so I don’t think it gets used very often. I’ve used a couple of times for hot water and it hasn’t tasted weird

If your tummy is saying bad things to the world, this is really good for getting this back to normal (and some peace and quiet) I was sent a free sample of this awhile ago. Really enjoyed it so i picked up a box. Very warming, calming and vanilla-y.

After much reading and research into TeaPop, I decided to try it with this tea. It would have turned out fine and tasty because the chamomile was lightly floral and iced the honey and vanilla took center stage.

But I used club soda….

The horrors of the horrible tasting club soda! I had some on its own to make sure that was what I was tasting and apparently I am one of the people that can taste the difference in club soda and regular seltzer water. This is heightened by the feeling of finding seltzer water this morning that was already in the house. Oh well, I’ll just have to try it again later.

Hmm, I don’t know why I haven’t tried tea-pop on my own, it just never occurred to me. I have a soda-stream and make my own concoctions all the time – with flavored syrups and rosewater, and things like that. Must try this.

Let me know how it goes for you! I don’t have a David’s Tea in my area so I was really confused when I started reading everything about tea pop.

From Ost’s stash sale.

I was a little dubious of this because I tried Celestial Seasonings version of this and it was terrible – very chemical tasting. But, I do like Chamomile and I do like the idea of this tea so I decided to give it a try. It tastes rather good. Honey is the dominant flavor, with a bit of Vanilla in the background. I’m not really tasting the Chamomile, so maybe I’ll steep it longer next time. I don’t know that it’s something I’ll reach for often, a little too sweet and simple for me, but definitely nice to try.

I’m very thankful to my friends for introducing me to this tea – they even sent me home with a sachet!

This tea is perfect when you need something calming, feels like a big, warm hug in a mug. Doesn’t smell like much dry, but tastes wonderful, and isn’t overwhelmingly chamomile-y (yes, I know that’s not a word)
