Camomile, Honey & Vanilla,

I’m not a huge fan of camomile tea, although I have been known to have a cup or two occasionally. This has a strong honey smell and taste, but I really have to concentrate to discern the vanilla. It’s a nice, soothing blend, if you like honey.

I generally dislike fancy-flavoured tea but this one caught my eye because I’m almost instantly sold on anything related to bees. Well, I’m mostly glad I took the plunge — this smells pleasantly of honey and vanilla, and because it doesn’t contain any caffeine, it’s nice for you to relax with, even late at night. I foresee this coming in very handy when I am struck with yet another bout of insomnia.

As per serving suggestions, I sweetened it with a teaspoon of Manuka honey and the result was something that tasted like … honey chrysanthemum tea … with a lingering vanilla aftertaste. I’m kinda neutral on this. I can drink it every now and then, but it probably wouldn’t be my beverage of choice if I could have proper tea instead.

This feels like such a redundant review.

This has been a full time residant of my tea cupboard for a few months now and is in my favourite teas of all time. Im not usually a fan of anything to floral or perfumed but I love camomile tea and drink it year round at anytime of day. This is by far my favourite, the flavors of vanilla and honey translate really well and help to bring out the sweet mellow flavors of the camomile. This tea is simple delicious and I will be repurchasing time and time again.

Reduces anxiety. My go-to for exams and nighttime

This is the second of the three Camomile-Honey-Vanilla teas I’m comparing tonight. (The others are Ahmad and Celestial Seasonings.) I brewed each at the same time, individual cups, poured quickly, consecutively, one bag to one cup.
This, the Twinings, was the middle one in color and strength. Of the three, I have to say I like the perfume of this one the best. The accent is on the camomile, not the honey, so it has a more delicate, perfumy quality, which I like. The honey and vanilla are there as pleasant undertones in the background, but not vying for attention.
This one, too, is a bit weaker than I’d like, but not disappointing. It seems delicate rather than outright watery.
At night I like to mix the flavor of this combo with white tea, for a perfect night time blend.
This is not as robust as the Celestial Seasonings, but it is a lovely blend, and I like it.

Mastress Alita’s sipdown challenge – September Tea #4 -A tea with honey added

The book I’m reading kept mentioning chamomile, and once for eye health (though the book didn’t mean drinking it for eye health, but a compress or something…), and my eyes are always wrecked so I steeped this up.  I don’t actually mind this one from Twinnings and I’m often craving it.  So this has honey in the name of the tea for this prompt AND I actually added some of Grandma’s honey to the mug… which I never really like to do since I never actually taste honey until I get to the bottom of the mug… and that will be the dregs of the cup in the morning! On another note, the local grocery ad this week showed $7 for two boxes of 20 teabags of Twinings tea. NO WAY. I don’t like this that much.

Not a big fan of this tea.

The Chamomile was subtle but overpowered by what smelled and tasted like artificial vanilla flavoring. I didn’t get any hints of honey. I added honey powder and milk in hopes to enhance the flavors, but it only made the tea slightly more drinkable by sweetening it, but it did not enhance the flavoring.

Help I am stuck with all this awful tea! Now I like Camomile, I love honey and Vanilla so I naturally thought that I was going to love this tea. WRONG too many flavors competing that my tea tastes like mothballs. Yuck!

Surprised at some of the ratings of this tea. To me, it smells strongly of chamomile and honey, and I barely get any vanilla. Same goes for the actual taste of the tea. I find it very soothing, and I often drink it at work when I’m stressed out or just before bed when I cannot justify having another cup of anything caffeinated.

While I don’t mind some artificial flavoring if it’s good (see David’s Tea flavors pumpkin chai and chocolate macaroon), I usually dislike artificial flavors in my tea. For some reason I can’t seem to taste artificial flavoring in this at all. Perhaps a bit in the honey note?

I was pleasantly surprised by this one in fact. It’s sweet, calming, and soothing. I loved it on a grey day at work when everyone was silet and I was writing a report. In a weird way, it’s a perfect tea for introspection.

I will definitively buy it someday.
