This one’s not bad. Minty and “fresh” tasting, and good with honey.

Alas there shall not be more black tea tasting today. I’ve had two cups of throat coat and one of these as I don’t really know what will help, my glands feel swollen, my throat is sore and my allergies are flaring. This is soothing and reminds me of tea my mom used to make me. In fact my mom probably did make me this tea, I know she made me throat coat. Ah, that and Celestial Seasonings, how long ago it seems.

On an interesting note the neighbors came home with two huge Teavana bags. First time in I believe and she mentioned Dr. Oz. Later husband said he smelled Blueberry Bliss. I consulted with barista boy and he says they spend $250 and satiated my curiosity by listing the teas and merch. Fighting the urge to brew her better Tieguanyin than the Monkey Picked she bought, fighting it.

Kittenna

Ahahaha, snooping on the neighbor’s tea purchases?! Funny! Although admittedly now that I’m into tea I always want to know what people bought and what they like, etc. etc.

Also, hope you’re feeling better soon!

Sore throat getting worse D: I found this in my remedies collection so I thought I’d give it a shot. What’s that familiar taste? The flavor that makes me feel like I’m at the dentist…. GASP CLOVE D: nooooooooo

After 7 cups of this, I can say it is definitely not working for me! Yesterday I added honey, and today I did the same plus lemon also… just gross. I’d put up with it if it was helping this cold any, but I don’t notice any improvement before, during, or after this tea :(

Coldcalm is definitely making a difference though. Would like to have my taste buds back soon so I can enjoy some more yummy teas!

One of the best when you have a cold or sinus problems. Unfortunately I can’t always find it packaged by it self instead it is in with others in a seasonal sampler box.

I know this herbal tea isn’t going to cure what ails me, but I’m drinking this at the behest of my housemate.

And it’s good.

And comforting.

Because it’s mostly clove and peppermint and a little cinnamon-tasting. Surprisingly smooth despite the dominant clove aroma and taste. Numbs my throat just enough. The peppermint is refreshing and not stewy, I’d say moderate intensity. Enough to open my aggravated sinuses and to taste but not a kick in the lungs or on the tongues. It’s also just slightly tart. Very easy to drink.

Peppermint tea is a pretty good RX for anything that ails you.

A good Peppermint is my favorite herbal tea. Calms my mind, soothes an upset stomach and as a cold brew, is immensely refreshing on warm days. As somebody with asthma and allergies, I appreciate the effect it has on my respiratory system.

gmathis

Yep, I grab it for headache, stomach ache, sniffles, heartache, and sometimes just because my pinky toes are tired ;)

Appalachian Tea

I’m a big fan of this one myself. Helps with chest/head colds. I have found that the flavor is too strong for me when I’m not sick, though.

While this isn’t a tea I crave or would drink regularly, it really does seem to help me feel better when under the weather. It has a cinnamon minty flavor that seems strange at first but actually works well. Overall it tastes pretty good and helps ease the suffering from a cold.

I brew 2 bags in a large mug (15 ounces water) and let the tea bags stay in while drinking.

Flavors: Cinnamon, Mint

I don’t have a cold, but my stomach was feeling a little unsettled after dinner so I found this tea bag with peppermint and ginger. Unfortunately, it also has licorice root and I’m not a fan of the flavor. It’s not nearly so bad as I remember it though.

Flavors: Licorice Root, Mint
