From Bird & Blend Tea Co.

Previously known as ’Kung Flu Fighter – we’ve renamed this well loved brew as it came to our attention that it’s playful name could now be misconstrued as a reference to the current pandemic. Please be reassured that it is the same fabulous blend that it has been for the past four years, just a new name!

Let nothing stop you with our best selling cold weather herbal tea. Our ultimate flu fighting, herbal tea is a blend of echinacea & eucalyptus, both said to boost your immune system, aid recovery and sooth symptoms of colds and flu. Also with aniseed, chilli & peppermint – Just what you need to fire you through!

Mixologists top tips: We love this brew hot with a dash of honey! If we’re in need of an extra boost of energy, we add in a shot of matcha – Chief Mixologist, Krisi swears by this whenever she has a case of the sniffles!

It’s National Pizza Day! This is such a fun theme/prompt. I really enjoyed searching and choosing a tea for today. This probably doesn’t seem like an obvious choice, but it has chili flakes in it! Definitely a pizza topping over here. Surprisingly, even though I can see them in the mix, I cannot taste the chili flakes or feel their heat. This is primarily a mint tisane; I don’t taste the lemongrass or aniseed either. That’s not to say I don’t like it. It’s better than some other cold and flu teas I’ve had.

This was the Bird & Blend Advent Calendar tea for Day 5. I actually liked it. I usually like to have some David’s Tea Cold 911 on hand for when I’m under the weather, but this one was good too. It didn’t taste medicine-ish. I mean., it was definitely a minty/eucalyptus-y tea, but that wasn’t unpleasant. When I run out of Cold 911 I might need to get 50 grams or so of this one.

Sipdown! I’ve had three small colds over the last two months, all of which I’ve zapped with this tea before they really got hold. I was a little skeptical about the effect a tea could have on a thing like a cold, but I really do believe that drinking this has made a difference. It’s good for soothing a sore throat, and I’m convinced it’s helped me to shake off the ills more easily. It tastes pretty good, too! Super brilliant stuff, and a definite repurchase!

That’s great to hear! Could use some right now haha. And the name is hilariously awesome.
