This tea starts off tasting mostly like plain black tea. A nice malty black tea, but still, just the tea. However, just as you think you are going to be disappointed, the flavor of fresh vanilla bean takes over leaving you with a sweet and creamy aftertaste that you can only get from true vanilla flavoring. Yum!

TippysTea

That’s exactly what we were going for with this tea. We did not want to over shadow the golden monkey as it is a very good tea, but it does pair very, very well with vanilla. We are happy that you enjoyed our tea!

Oh, and let it sit for around for a while and shake before use if you haven’t. The vanilla beans like to settle to the bottom of the bag.

They have a minty vanilla tea on their website now – maybe that’s what you tried last time? http://tippystea.com/collections/frontpage/products/minted-monkey

Last time we messed up and contaminated that sample … But it led us to make a mint vanilla, so here’s to happy accidents!
