This is the sample with the sugar. But really… omg this is so sweet. I mean it tastes awesome- it’s fruit + sugar coated fruit + sugar + a pinch of tea. This would be great to freeze into popsicles.

This tastes tart like orange and orange peel. There is a greasiness to the taste and a little bit of an oily film on the cup. I think this would probably taste better heavily sweetened.

Additional notes: There were TWO actual pieces of tea leaves in my infuser. Why bother? This cup tasted MOSTLY like the German Rock Sugar. Way too much of that… I kept seeing pieces of those fall into my infuser. No wonder this was marketed as a kids tea!

We all know that Teavana’s business practices are painfully annoying and their staff are trained to be insanely in-your-face and just horrifically keen to upsell you to metal tins (I have my own, thank you) and trying to sell you 1lb of tea at a time (I have 200 teas in my cupboard at home, and also, that’ll be like $75, so… no thank you).

Despite Teavana in general getting some sort of terrible management training right from the top which makes the shopping experience next-to-terrible, I do really like going in if not just to try their free samples and buy one thing and get the heck outta there.

This one in particular is amazing. I am a bit fan of white tea and also of fruit and citrus-y things, and this one has it all. The flavour is fantastic and would probably rock very hard as an iced tea. I brewed only for 3 min, but actually next time I will probably brew a little bit longer. The tea is very much more herbal and fruit-based than white tea-based, but that really works well. The blend of these 2 goes super well together and I love the taste. I had a cup of this a while back but put a fair bit more of the tea in (maybe 2 teaspoons) for a cup and it came out stronger which I like more. Next time I will brew it longer and put a bit more in. This is a GREAT tea (though is probably really more like a tisane). The only issue now is, if Teavana really wanted to sell more of this and their other great teas, they’d re-train their staff like NOW.

1.5 tsp for 300mL water @80C, steeped two minutes 30 seconds.

Opening the package, I did not see much tea. Loads of fruit. It’s very pretty. It’s got a tart scent I can’t quite place …

Packet says 79C for water temp. Huh? For a white? Ohhhkayyyyy ….

WHOA! Tartness overload, and a stain leaking from the infuser that looks like blood in the water … oh no. Hibiscus. Oh GAWD NO, please, not hibiscus …

And I notice in the ingredients list there’s acai powder and maltodextrin. GOOD LORD. If I wanted sugar or any of its cousins in my tea, I’d put it there!

I really want to like this, especially seeing it was a gift that the givers went out of their way to obtain, but it’s a pink, mostly flavourless brew that smells overwhelmingly of hibiscus. I would never guess there was any actual tea leaf in here.

If you like a fruity tisane-type of drink, you might like this one. I uh … I can’t taste anything except hibiscus.

I’ve had this a few times hot and haven’t loved it. Today I’m having it cold brewed for the first time and I am really enjoying it much more. The citrus has a coconut undertone which is tasty. Combined with the light oolong base, it is very refreshing. Perfect for the warmer weather outside

This tea is pretty much gross to me. It’s like drinking over sweetened fruit juice. I prefer Capri Sun to the Youthberry Wild Orange Blossom. I was unable to detect any tea flavor at all.

My personal theory is that Teavana claims this is their best seller just so they can get rid of their extra stock in the form of samples… Just a theory!

This tea is a guilty pleasure. It’s hard to see it as a “serious” tea because it’s like drinking candy. I imagine the sugar rotting my teeth, but I love every sample I get. The two main reasons I haven’t bought it (yet?) is because 1) it’s outrageously priced, in my opinion. They charge the full price for each of the two teas they’ve blended. Wouldn’t it make more sense to charge half the price of each? 2) I want to limit the sugary teas I drink and 3) I figure I can make a comparable blend myself more cheaply than Teavana sells it for. For now, I save this treat for weekends. By the way, I never make the whole package at once. I use 1-2 tsps at a time.

This blend took me by surprise. I had not had good experiences with the combination of hot and citrus. Because of this, I avoided trying this tea for the longest of times. Since I live in Ecuador, I have to buy my tea in batches when I happen to travel or when someone is nice enough to bring me tea when they come visit. My last order, out of curiosity, I added this blend. I was pleasantly surprised!

It smells very fruity with pineapple and mango notes standing out and a bit of coconut?, with a citrusy smell lingering behind. As I with most Teavana teas I have tried, the ratio of tea to fruit was a bit frustrating. I wish there was a bit more tea to the blend and a little less random pieces of fruit…

After a relatively short brewing time of two minutes (recommended time) the liquor was a light pink color (delightful to watch brew!). The smell of the brew was similar to the smell of the leaves, but a bit weaker. The orange seems to be stronger once brewed, mellowing out the sweet smell that overwhelmed the dry blend. The taste was sip of sweet pineapple and mango (still tasting coconut?) and orange aftertaste. Delicious!

I would recommend this tea to anyone who want a sweet fruity tea. One of the best I have tried so far! Now a must have in my tea cabinet!

This is the tea that sucked me into the Teavana hype. The salesperson shoved this sample in my face after I made it clear that I was “just browsing.” It worked. I went home and ordered $50 worth of tea from Teavana’s website that weekend. Of the 5 teas I ordered, the only one I didn’t like was Kamiya Papaya Oolong because it’s way too floral-y for my taste. But the Youthberry Orange Blossom blend is great! I thought I didn’t like herbal teas, but this one is so fruity, tart, bright, and yummy! I’ve only tried it hot, but I’m sure the fruit flavors and slight tartness make a great iced tea in the summertime.
