16 Tasting Notes
My my my its been a long while since I’ve been on here. Still an avid tea drinker, but not so much a social networker……Mmmmm, this is so smooth just as other have described. I put about 6 pearls in my 16oz perfecta maker, but to make things a bit different, I added 1tsp of honeybush vanilla. No german rock sugar like I’m used to but a teaspoon of white honey. This is almost too smooth. But is definitely appreciated on a stressful day as today.
Preparation
Bought this back in the fall and have loved it so much that I never noted it because I wanted it all to myself (sadly they have discontinued it now, anyone know of a good sub?) I love love love the warm fall scent it brings to my kitchen. Seriously I would love this as a home scent. It’s sweet, warm, creamy and just a bit spicy. I need this in my life!!
Just alright, my first earl grey and I’m very not impressed. Anyone have something better??
The girls at Teavana just know how to sucker me in to something new. I got about 3 oz of this at my last Teavana haul and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked the smell. Oolongs are my favorite tea and this one is sure to remain in my collection as long as it is available. 2.5 tsp/190*F for 3:15. A tsp of rock sugar (all my teas I take with sugar) and it is really soothing my itchy/sore throat this morning. Hint of strawberry, a nice floral rose flavor, and just a hint of champagne. Very beautiful tea.
I had the decaf ginger lemon. I should say that I’m not the biggest fan of greens. Haven’t found my go-to green tea yet, but this isn’t bad. Very light. I can taste the ginger and lemongrass, but just barely. Maybe if I steeped longer but I was afraid it’d go bitter. Would be good blended with a lemongrass tea or with a squirt of lemon juice. Overall not too bad.
