From EnjoyingTea.com

The Provence Rooibos is a top grade herbal tea from South Africa. This delicious tea includes Rooibos, rosehip shells, dried black currants, rose leaves, lavender, raisins, dried red currants, rose petals, and dried blueberries. Rooibos, meaning Red Bush in Afrikaans, is grown at the altitude of 2000 feet above sea level in the Cedarberg region. Fermentation of the Rooibos turns the leaves from green to deep red and gives a slight sweet note. When brewed this tea produces a reddish orange liquid with a sweet fruity taste and a floral aroma. Research has shown Rooibos tea to be a rich natural source of antioxidants with a high level of flavonoids. The absence of caffeine makes it an ideal drink, even at night.

I really like this blend. The fruit and lavender help disguise some of the less desired qualities of the rooibos. The flavor is sweet and fruity, with a nice berry tartness to it that is not too tart. It’s good iced too.

SIPDOWN!

I’m sitting here trying to settle my stomach and trying to talk myself into cleaning the house…blah. Anyhow…I finished up this little bit from my stash and the fruit flavors are gentle and delightful. If I try real hard I can pick out the currants and raisins just a little bit more than the other flavors but not by much. These ingredients are in great harmony together!

Bah, why bother with house-cleaning – it’ll just get dirty all over again, after all.

HAHAHAHA! I know it! But DH is sounding off on it! BIL will be over for the holidays so I have to at least do the kitchen and carpets!

Jaime

I’d make DH clean if he’s the one complaining!

Tea #6 from the traveling tea box. This one won’t be continuing on, it’s all mine! Now I just need to decide what to replace it with since there was a fairly large amount.

I don’t generally care for rooibos which is why I was surprised how much I loved this. I can’t really taste the rooibos because the fruit, lavender and rose help cover it up. I love that there are so many flavors going on in this, but they still seem to balance each other out.

Sample courtesy of Tea Bird!

Delicious and beautiful!!! I’m tasting all kinds of sweet berries and interesting flavors which I can’t put my finger on – I think I’m tasting some lavender but it’s so harmonious with the rest of the flavors that it’s hard to pin down! Very unique – I love it! Thank you Tea Bird!!!

I had this for the first time at an amazing little tea shop in upstate NY (which I now have to find and rate among the Places). I didn’t buy any in bulk there, foolishly, so I hunted down a company online that seemed to carry the same blend. Yes!

So, this is a very soft berry rooibos tea with a few floral notes. You can see all of the flavors in the ingredients, which I love: currants, blueberries, rose petals, and lavender. The lavender isn’t so much a flavor as an aftertaste, an almost menthol tang, but it all comes together surprisingly well. This is a unique tea, that I have to be in the right mood for, but when I am it’s delicious!

I got a sample tin of this from EnjoyingTea as part of their Rooibos Sampler. This is a much lighter flavor than I’m used to in rooibos – usually, the flavor is so strong! I think I like this. I can’t really taste the lavender, and the fruit is subtle.

I added a bit of sugar but it wasn’t very sweet even with that.

Short Sorceress

It took me a few cups to decide, but I really like this one because the rooibos isn’t nearly as strong as what I’m used to. It gave me hope for finding other rooibos blends that I like.
