oh no, I made the mistake of steeping up two of David’s heavy stevia teas at the same time.  So. Much. Stevia.  Anyway, I haven’t made a note for this one yet, so here goes, the blend is a bunch of tiny chopped things — very colorful.  It even looks like rooibos, but I don’t think there is any here — probably one of the many flowers.  I think the selling point for me here was the GABA (always can use more focus), not sure if there is much even contained in the blend.  The flavor is strong fruit!  There might be a cloying element to this, but I don’t hate it. Would probably enjoy it more in summer. And it also has the coconut that likes to go bad the fastest.  The coconut isn’t bad yet though.

I cold brewed this one (accidentally closer to 48 hours than 24!) and it turned out really well! It’s like a fruit punch with a hit of tropical flavor. It might be cliche but I grew up in Hawaii and love tropical fruit. Now that I’m in Colorado it’s hard to get good fresh tropical fruit so I really enjoy finding teas like this! Who cares that there’s 6 inches of snow on the ground, I’m on the beach B)

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #49 overall / Tea #16 for February

Thursday 2/11 finished a cold brew pitcher of this tea (6 DT perfect spoons in a pretty DT floral tin), back when this came out it was a favorite and I bought a lot. A little slower on sipdowns after a good start at the beginning of the month—need to find my box of teabags/single serves, #drinkwhatyouown advent calendar, etc. to up my numbers. :)

Thanks to tea-sipper for the sample! The flavor is light and fruity. The green tea isn’t my favorite, but the fruitiness is nice on top of it. I wouldn’t say that the flavor is clearly guava, but it’s definitely close. It was tastiest cold. I don’t think I would buy this one myself since the green tea was more present than it usually is in DT blends, and I’m just not a huge fan of the base tea itself. Probably not the tea’s fault, just a personal preference.

Iced Tea Sipdown (267)

I made this two days ago but drank it yesterday after I got home from work and baby stuff shopping. It was not my favourite. A bit watermelon-y but with an added green tea component I didn’t love.

I like to drink this iced. It’s a nice light tea but it has a bitter aftertaste.

This tea is great iced. I don’t actually taste a lot of guava but I do get lots of strawberry, pineapple, and maybe some citrus notes. It is nice over ice slightly sweetened or straight.

I solely like this tea cold steeped. I find there is a bitter flavor when it is iced the conventional way or steeped as a hot tea. That being said, I love this tea cold steeped.

[I will not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.] [adapted from: Roswell Strange’s disclaimer]

A wild combination of hormones and hangover was completely murdering my morning, and I couldn’t stand the thought of my usual morning cup of Jasmine Creme Brulee. Citrus sounded good. I went for my tin of Sweet Lime and grabbed this instead. Perfect! I need mental acuity and focus! Give it to me!
At first sip it’s very sweet, but fruit-sweet, not sugar-sweet. It has a slight bubblegum scent. Guava is the main note, and then pineapple. Really delicious! I have no idea if the “GABA” part makes any difference – I do feel better though (some of that might be because of the matcha I had too). I’m excited to find a fruity tea to drink hot in the summer, and if it helps my crazy brain focus, all the better!
