It’s sweet, creamy and downright irresistible. And this beautiful black tea is full of it. Strewn with pretty white chocolate curls and whole rosebuds, it’s a blissful fusion that’s rich, decadent and lightly floral. Sip by candlelight to get things extra steamy. Is it just us or is it getting hot in here?

After trying multiple different temps and steep times, I finally found one that works best for this tea, and I really love it! I love the rose flavour, and adding sugar really makes it pop out. I may even be tasting a very subtle white chocolate flavour in there. But the taste of this tea is mostly rose, and black tea. I’m a fan of floral teas, so I was pretty excited that DT went all out for Valentines this year. I definitely will stock up on this one!

I also found out this isn’t a brand new blend, it’s the same blend from a few years ago called ‘English Rose’ – just under a different name. They’re definitely sneaky!

Wow. I’m someone who likes strong black teas with subtle flavours, and White Chocolate Rose doesn’t disappoint. When I read the description, I thought it would be similar to DAVIDsTEA Love Tea #7, but with white chocolate bits added. The sales rep said it was more like Red Rose English Breakfast tea, and that’s the better comparison. I brewed a teapot without having to add any milk or sugar. The tea looks a little greasy due to the white chocolate, but it tastes sublime.

I love rose teas in general but I think this is my favourite from DT aside from, maybe, the rose matcha. There’s just something about the combination of cream and florals that is so enjoyable. Love the simple but beautiful rose and white chocolate notes of this tea. They just click so well and the blend itself has continued to age gracefully.
