Blueberry crumble. Blueberry muffins. Blueberry pie. No matter how you slice it, you just can’t beat blueberries and cinnamon. It’s a classic combo for a reason – the blend of sweet, juicy berries and warm spice is cozy, comforting and just plain nostalgic. So we created this berry-packed mix of blueberries, currants, cinnamon and rooibos. Try it hot or iced…or use it instead of water in your favourite oatmeal. It’s like a hug in a cup.

Cinnaminy and a little bland about it. I’m not a fan of rooibis though, so YMMV

Drinking one of my fall faves this morning… Still loving this lovely blend of blueberry and cinnamon. ’It’s like a hug in a cup’ definitely rings true for me.

I don’t feel like I can properly review this one. I was pregnant when I had it, and it turned my stomach in a big way :( sad day. It sounds so good on paper.

I know I’ve had this once or twice before without bothering to log it.

This smells wonderful when it’s steeping, but it tastes tarter than I expected. Also, I think that in the small sample I asked for from DT, they gave me a whole lot of cinnamon chips and not a lot of rooibos.

This does smell nice, though. I’ll finish it off and may restock it at a later date.

How does this taste iced, by the way?

Yummy. Tastes like cinnamon-blueberry baked goods. The one that comes to mind is blueberry bagel. The smell of the dry tea and the after-taste clearly have those aromas. The tea smell (steeped) is mostly cinnamon. The taste is a soothing rooibos. I’d get more!

Blueberry and cinnamon. The latter should compliment the former, not be tasted in equal measure. So this blend errs on the side of too much cinnamon I think. But, it was a pleasant sipdown. It made me smile, “like a hug in a cup”. Indeed. I got two cups out of my September 2014 Tea of the Month collection sample, and quite enjoyed it… but not enough to order any more.

Huh.

I was really excited for this one — a tea reminiscent of a blueberry muffin? How could I not jump on that? Unfortunately, I seem to have forgotten that most baked goods inspired tes don’t actually remind me of baked goods; in fact, they usually disappoint me.

This one has a nice cinnamon taste and a nice blueberry taste, but they don’t meld at all for me. Cinnamon begins the sip and blueberry rounds it off. I’m glad I can taste both title elements, but I was hoping for something that blended together better than this does.

Got this as one of my teas in the bogo TFF promo (I split this and Gold Rush with a friend) they have going on. Good as a hot tea, very nice smell all brewed up and very cinnamon-y in taste. Smells of berries, but I didn’t get that so much when I tasted it. Still a nice hot tea – not sure if I’d get it again but it was a tastey cup.
