She’s a peach
If we could, we’d eat peaches and cream every single day. Is there any taste more smile-inducing than perfectly ripe fruit and a dollop of vanilla-scented cream? It’s so fresh, so simple – like a bowl of sunshine. There’s just one problem. You just can’t get perfect peaches all year round. But this spring, we’re satisfying our cravings with this fruit-packed peach and vanilla blend. It’s sweet, refreshing and just a little bit creamy. Isn’t life peachy?

The other TOTD that I tried today. Possibly better than Cool Cucumber in my opinion… I love teas with creaminess, and this didn’t disappoint. The peachy flavour was also quite glorious, and the creaminess was what saved it from tasting like delicious peach juice, and instead made it taste like… peaches and cream. Shocking…

Anyhow, it’s always great to get a herbal that doesn’t contain 1) hibiscus, 2) mint, 3) chamomile, 4) licorice, so I was pretty stoked. Another one I’ll have to try iced/chilled at some point.

keychange

yay! Glad you liked this too! You should try it as a latte-that’s how I had it in-store and it was excellent.

Sami Kelsh

Agreed with keychange – haven’t had this as a latte, but BOY does that sound like it would be gorgeous!

Fjellrev

Damn, and I passed on this one because I thought it may be ultra sugary.

Kittenna

Oooh! Latte sounds divine, and I never would have thought of that!

Plunkybug

“Anyhow, it’s always great to get a herbal that doesn’t contain 1) hibiscus, 2) mint, 3) chamomile, 4) licorice”

Hear hear! Though I’m ok with chamomile, usually. And mint, to a degree…I’m super picky with mint and usually dislike, but do like it in a small number of blends.

I think this one has potential. I only picked up a small amount, but I think I’ll get a bit more nest time, like maybe 25?

I am so pathetic. I was checking the website all evening last night hoping they would add their spring teas early but went to bed disappointed. I woke up at 2 and 5am and checked the website again but they still didn’t have it. Checked again when I woke up at 7:30 they were finally there! Love the theme! Bought samples of every tea except for pom tango because I didn’t really care for it last year.

This is the first one I tried, don’t know why, it smelled the worst out of the bunch. It smells like nail polish to me, and peach of course. Similar to the peach in long life oolong. Tastes pretty similar too, without the oolong of course. It was ok, but not awesome. It had a slight chemically taste, and the peach is kind of in between a creamy peach and a fresh peach. It was a little bit tangy. I was hoping it would taste like peaches and cream oatmeal because that is my favourite, but it wasn’t even close. I’m gonna try a shorter steeping time next time and with no added cream.

I got a sample of this from an online order. Opening the package, it smelled just horrible. It smelled like medicine, in the worst way. When I steeped it, the tea smelled alright but it was near undrinkable. The “creaminess” was more like plastic coating in my mouth. Later on I felt pretty sick and I’m under the impression it might’ve been this. I’m not sure if I just got a bad sample or something, but definitely a disaster.

Aaahhhhhh!!

The damage:
-one spring tea sampler set
-one matte white Nordic mug with shellfish and pale green interior.
-I can’t believe that was all. I just can’t. I saw and fell in love with the lime green timolino, and think it will be mine very very soon, just not yet.

I also saw their new travel mug, which is said to be leak-proof. It seemed nice, although for some reason I wasn’t crazy about its esthetics, or maybe it was just the way it felt in my hand. It’s a rubberized textured type of metal, and it just feels wide and clunky, and I’m not sure how I feel about the handle on the lid yet.

But yeah, this tea, sorry!

I got it to go as a soy latte with agave. This tastes pretty comparable to what a peaches and cream flavoured oatmeal tastes like, minus the grainy taste of oats. The peach is a soft, rounded peach as opposed to the fresh juicy variety, and is not even remotely tart or tangy, although this could be due to the vanilla, which gives more of a cream note than a distinctly vanilla one. I also didn’t get any apple at all, which whatever, fine by me.

This is a solid tea, and makes a fine latte. I’m pretty excited to play around with the sample I have!

Sami Kelsh

Wizard. I love peachy oatmeal tea!

TheTeaFairy

AlexaK.

I, too, am disappointed with the show of restraint. I expected actual damage, darn it!

Courtney

OMGsrsly

mrs.stenhouse12

I too showed restraint lol only 2 mugs, the glass octopus and color changing lobster, and both with my bf in mind!! The octopus one is Def for him and I might test the lobster one, I think I will be returning for the shell bubble cups and teapot though haha :D and I also got 8 teas lol so still a fair amount

Suziqzer

Sounds like you had fun shopping today. I love reading about all the excitement about the new teas and tea ware.

AlexaK.

Whales!!! I’m getting the color-change mug next week. I tried really hard for this week but only got cleared for $20 because, ya know, responsibilities and bills. Blegh! Doesn’t my mortgage company know the Spring Collection is out? How dare they?

Nightshifter

Sounds like a good shopping experience! :)

keychange

It was awesome!

Dry Leaf Nose: Creamy vanilla and ripe peach.

Liquor: Golden yellow and clear.

Flavour: Creamy notes stand out, mixing well with the ripe peach overtones. The peach develops sip after sip and sits well on the palate.
