We’ve got a lot to be proud of up here in Canada. Majestic mountains, lush forests, open plains, nice people, and of course our beautiful aurora borealis. All in all, a pretty remarkable mélange. This herbal blend celebrates our delicious abundance. It’s made with herbs and fruits that are easily found in our great country during the summer months: apple, peppermint, juniper berries, and raspberry leaf. Great hot or iced, it’s a sweet, refreshing cup of national pride.

ok this is one I was sure I’d hate. SO sure. but then I tried it… and well the raspberry leaf really tones down the mint, and the juniper berries add that something extra. This could easily become a fave but I’m holding back because I don’t want to use a medicinal tea for funsies and end up immune to it’s wonderful healing ways!

Sipdown 10. Surprisingly tasty, though a bit strange. The dry leaf smelled minty with some raspberry notes. Once steeped, I could taste crisp, slightly tart apple with a not-too-overwhelming dash of mint. The juniper berries created a flavor that is really hard to describe as anything other than gin-like. As it cooled, the apple came out a bit more. I would like to try this iced, but I gave the rest of my sample away to my bf (who went absolutely nuts for the juniper berries). Maybe I’ll convince him to try it iced. :)
For an herbal, it resteeped remarkably well (10 min, boiling). The apple was mostly gone, but the mint and juniper berry still had plenty of flavor to give.

Currently undecided about this one, it might end up going the way of “blazin’ strawberries” a tea that is good, but not great.
I only used 1tsp as I find DAVIDsTEA’s to be super strong otherwise, although being an herbal tea this may be one that I should just leave the teaball in the water the entire time.
I can smell a berry of some sort, but I have never had juniper berries so I am not sure if this is what they smell like, it’s almost a blueberry scent. I can smell the apples and I am sure if I left the leaves in, I would start to taste them.
It is a light tea for sure, and the mint is the most prevalent taste of all.
I think I will cold steep another cup over night and see what I think tomorrow over ice.
THink gin when you think juniper berries. Sort of like a pine-ish smell/taste. Have you had Detox by DT? It uses juniper berries as well. I’m excited to give this one a go!
I always tend to leave my leaves in for hebals and it really makes this tea delish.
I’m a huge mint fan and a pretty serious juniper berry fan, so I’m super excited for this.
Yum, this is actually one of my first tea that I ordered from David’s tea. Sadly, I don’t like it as much as I first did but I believe it’s because my tea knowledge has expanded. I actually blended this with strawberry rhubarb parfait tea, and it was really good. Both together has a sweet tangy flavor with spearmint! Yumm yumm
PS I’m really having a hard time on steepster, I keep having to refresh the page, anyone else having this probelm?
Had this iced from the store on Tuesday. I did really enjoy it but I found it a little light for me but that is often the case when I try one at the store. Guess I like my tea a little stronger than most.
I did buy a bag of this tea to try at home and to try hot. I think it is going to be wonderful.
I didn’t get into the store to try it on ice… :o( But I did buy some to take home.

The tea of the month is actually Mango Madness… This one was unveiled for Canada Day.
oh, nice. I love how they always have new teas, but then they keep discontinuing my faves.
Wow…what a unique flavor! It DEFINITELY reminds me of the mountains. The smell of the dry stuff is very off putting…I was wondering what I got myself into.
After steeping it (at a much lower temperature then an herbal needs-I only have a coffee pot, don’t judge! LOL) I get an overwhelming taste of minty-ness…with an accompaniment of berry. I’ve never had juniper berries before or raspberry leaves. I can barely tell there’s any apple at all…if it’s there it’s VERY subtle. I feel like it cleans my palate…refreshing like. I wouldn’t mind drinking this again…I wouldn’t say it’s a favorite of mine…but maybe once I re-steep it or try more varieties of teas I’ll be able to come back to this one and say I like it better then all those others.
I’ve been wondering about this one. It seems like people either think it is totally amazing or just just “meh”.

Wait, how have I never reviewed this one before? I adore this one, and have from my first sips. I actually have a shitton of it compared to my other teas because I drink it so often. This is such a great tea if I want a quirky mint, or if I want something to soothe my stomach or my throat, or just to mellow out with. Plus, all Canadian ingredients means its even more special to me since I am a maple leaf girl through and through. It smells like a walk through a forest after the rain, and tastes like fresh gardens in a northern town. I’m so sad this one was taken off the wall, but am glad that at least I’ll still be able to stock up online!
Well, I can definitely taste the sweetness of the apple and the mintiness of the mint but I really don’t think that juniper berries are to my taste because the whole tea together just comes off as weird and unpleasant to me. It attacks the back of my tongue and just…I don’t know. Isn’t good.

I had this to go yesterday, as an iced. The guy working looked at my kind of strangely & asked if I wanted any agave nectar in it; so I did.
This had a nice light fruit taste (not sure exactly what kind) & a hint of peppermint that played off the fruit nicely. It was delicious iced, but I think would be even better hot.
