I wasn’t aware herbal stuff can go bitter too, i think i oversteeped this one a little but it still tastes alright. I never had any guayusa before and this is the only sample I got from david’s in awhile. I actually only got this one because I was wondering what it would taste like.

Anyways, brews to a lighter colour than I expected; it tastes fruity and earthy. Probably better cold actually. I would say though that the papaya is really a filler ingredient that adds a lot of weight, you don’t really taste much of it but I guess any sort of sweetness you would get would be from it. It was interesting to try, but I’m still unsure what I really think of it. I can’t really say much for the caffeine either, I feel pretty normal.

I had this tea yesterday but I haven’t had time to log it until now. This was yet another recommendation made by the wonderful staff at davids tea. The guy who was working said that this is one of his favourites to have iced. I had smelled it the day before when I went in and it smelled like it would be really bitter. I decided to finally try it (due to my recent experience with blood orange pu’erh) and was pleasantly surprised! It was so light and fruity and will definitely be something to go back to! I look forward to trying it warm too and will probably pick some up to bring home too!

As a long time tea lover I’m skeptical about trying just ANY tea, but when the woman at David’s told me this was like peach juice I was in! After ordering it, another employee perked up and asked who was having the juju. I said it was me, and he came over and told me it would be the BEST tea I ever had. I was unsure about his claims but he was RIGHT! Now I am insanely addicted to this tea. I’ve had it iced and I have to say it’s just not as good. I drink it hot straight up and am just the happiest person because of it. It’s so tasty (who doesn’t love peach juice, right?). I have at least 3 cups of this a day and it has been really getting me through school. THE BEST! I highly recommend it.

EDIT! so this summer I’ve been drinking it iced non-stop and it’s been pretty good!! I still like it better hot. I make it in my glass mug and then put it in the fridge while it’s still steeping overnight. I feel like it needs to be steeped for an extra long time if it’s cold to get all of the yummy yummy flavors out.

I didn’t much like it iced, but it’s the only way I’ve tried it!
I will definitely try it hot thanks to this review :D Sounds so good.

I am not the biggest fan of this tea, however I am a HUGE fan of the effects of guayusa apparently.
It has a wierd bitter taste that reminds me of good tasting lipgloss. It gives me tons of energy and with a bit of agave I can handle drinking it, but it’s not my first choice of energy teas. I’d much rather have a mate.
I’m also aware that this is the only guayusa tea i’ve had, so I intend on trying to find one that is a bit easier on the taste buds.

I must be doing something wrong…

I have tried several times to brew this right—even though others claim this tea is foolproof—but every time it comes out bitter and undrinkable! I want to like it, the smell is intriguing, but then something happens once hot water is added and it comes out tasting like I brewed old, bitter herbs instead of magical-natural-high-jungle-tea. Guess I’ll be returning what I have to the store…

For me, it’s always WAY too sweet. I’ve never had bitter though. Hmm..

It’s all good, I returned the bag and used the credit to buy something else…

Yet another one that I haven’t had in a year, but have the smallest amount still hanging around. It’s time to really find out if I like it or not and if I should keep the small amount I have left or say goodbye!

I used too hot of water on this one, but MAN! is it ever forgiving! I added a hint of sugar… it didn’t really need it, but I did. Well, okay I lie. I added like 1/2 tsp of sugar. Still too much, but whatever.

It’s delicious. Fruity and nice. It’s a nice treat, but I’ve decided that it’s not one that I’ll keep stocked on a regular basis. Glad to enjoy it again, but won’t restock. Mate’s aren’t my thing.

Bye tea!

I don’t know how to rate this one. Taste was kinda bland to me, but I used a stick of agave vs regular sugar, so that could have been the culprit. It didn’t taste super fruity, but it did taste rather herbal. Again, this could be related to the method and amount of sweetener used.

I didn’t notice a perceived burst of energy, like a POP! or a BAM! or a WOW! but, I was soooo super tired this morning, and I was able to stay rather focused and it was busy at work. It was a very busy day, and I didn’t crash. But I did still feel tired. So, I don’t know if it got me through, or if it was just pure momentum from adrenalin pushing me through. Curious to try it more with regular sugar. I’ll have to look into the herb more too.

I may come back and raise the rating, but as of this afternoon, I had thoughts of possibly returning it for something else.

I LOVE this tea! I was hoping for a tea that would fill the hole that Fruite Mate left in my life, and whoa nelly! Jungle JuJu sure packs a wallop – I love that I can drink it straight or with a teensy bit of agave. It is nice and fruity without being pungently so, and it does not get super strong or bitter if I have it in a travel press all day. I really hope they keep this one around for a long time!

I was really surprised at how tasty this one turned out to be. I’m not always happy with the flavour of herbal blend teas. It turned out to just sweet enough, fruity, and didn’t taste like something you’d find in cold medicine.

Very happy with my purchase, it’s a nice alternative to tea when I want to drink something fruity without the standard “tea” flavour.

Yum yum! I’ve tasted this one as a cold tea and it was really refreshing!
For fruity tea lovers!

After trying it iced as a “tea of the day”, i’ve decided to try it HOT!
So… My review for this one:

Fresh, fruity, energizing and sweet.
The taste never gets bitter.
It’s like tropicana in a tea…
With the effect of a RedBull.

The ONLY thing I would say about this one is…
I was expecting a REALLY unique flavor.
But…
It taste like a lots of theses herbal fruity tea.

Haha, still yummy anyway!
