From DAVIDsTEA

This organic floral elixir is all about beauty. Rooibos is like a revitalizing liquid spa. We also added traditional radiance-boosters like rose petals, rosehip and marigold. And time-honoured nourishers like oat straw and nettle leaf. Plus there’s cinnamon, Ayurveda’s complexion saver. Just steeping this caffeine-free blend makes you glow.

How it tastes:

Herby with floral, warming cinnamon and citrus notes

What makes it great:

● These ingredients will get your skin glowing!

● It’s packed with nettle leaves – traditionally used for everything from pain relief to magic potions.

● Cinnamon is said to boost metabolism and improve your focus.

2 oz of this tea makes around 10-12 16 oz cups of hot tea and 5-7 16 oz cups of iced tea.

Very very tasty. A bit of a lighter tea, with a muted but definitely noticeable cinnamon flavor. I like the rooibos and rose notes as well. best way to drink this one is straight up. It does well with long steepings (i.e. forgetfulness) and multiples as well. Though I don’t think I would try for more than three.

I agree with previous reviews saying this tastes like an oatmeal cookie! It’s very pleasant and dessert-like, and it easily makes a second brew. I haven’t tasted a tea quite like this before, and I’m pleased! It could definitely be better… I’ll play around with different things to add to it. I considered ordering a larger amount, and I kind of wish I had!

I got this a few months ago, so it’s relatively recent and my packet does not say it has oat straw in it. But I still smell cookie! I also get cinnamon and peach — and I see where people get apple. I often get apple from rooibos, and I expect that is where it comes from (or the red fruit flavoring).

After steeping (I overleafed in a major way), it is an interesting cider/bronze color and smells a little less like cookie and a little more like apple pie flavors.

It doesn’t smell or taste particularly floral to me. It’s rather like a warm apple cider in the front of the sip, and a peach coffee cake in the finish. The pastry notes really come out in the finish and aftertaste.

This is a great dessert substitute for those of us trying to cut out the sweets.

I was having blood work done this morning and needed something that would give me a bit of a pick me up to help start my day. I decided to give this one a try even though I am not a fan of cinnamon.

Dried the leaf produces a delightful fruity aroma that I fell in love with (I had expected to pick up the cinnamon right away). The colour was surprising; I expected a red liquid but instead I was presented with a very clear amber. Once brewed, I picked up more of the cinnamon scent and started to worry that it would be an over powering cinnamon flavoured tea. Instead it was smooth and fruity and not until the end of the cup did I start to pick up more of the cinnamon flavour.

The old version was so much better!

And I hope your blood work went well.

Very tasty. Don’t steep for too long. There is a slight hint of liquorice, not sure where that is coming from or if it’s just me. I don’t really like liquorice so it loses some points there. Otherwise it’s a nice fruity/floral tea.

I agree with a previous poster when they said that this was totally marketed wrong. Floral and rooibos is NOT how I would describe this tea. I think I totally would market it as a Cinnamon Oatmeal Crumble or something cool like that, that actually describes what you would be tasting! I wasn’t super into the smell of the dry leaf. But once steeped and I smelled my cup I just about keeled over! I was like omg this smells like a cinnamon oat crumble topping you’d put on an apple crisp! Its so yummy!! I hope its actually good for you lol because then ill have an excuse to drink more! DAVIDsTEA, market this tea differently! I tasted no floral or rooibos, but it could just be because i didnt shake the bag or something. I taste cinnamon/oat/and a hint of fruit maybe apple or a sweetness like from a raisin (keep in mind i hate raisins but still love this tea)

This is not a bad tea. I taste cinnamon and fruitiness, with a somewhat floral aftertaste. Not what I was expecting, but it’s a good blend.

This is a really delicious tea! It tastes like a berry tea to me and kind of reminds me of the Celestial Seasonings Zinger teas. They don’t have oat grass in the ingredients anymore so I don’t get any notes of that. There is cinnamon in this but from the two times I’ve had this tea so far I can’t say that I’ve really noticed it.
The one thing that bothers me about this tea is that it makes me really sleepy and spaced out feeling. I’ll try this again to see if it really is the tea, but if it does that again that I’m going to be pretty sure of it. I’ve read that rooibos can make some people feel sleepy and nettle may possibly do that as well if it does work as an antihistamine.

The smell, look, and taste of this tea is really delightful!

2021 Sipdown #48:
I’ve been holding on to the last cup of this for too long but it’s one of my absolute favorite teas and I need more space in my cupboard. I’m super excited for my classes this term and this was also chosen as a starting a new term of classes tea. It’s such a lovely herbal flavor with floral notes, and cinnamon, and nettle. Also one of the first few teas I tried from DavidsTea and introduced me to the loose leaf tea world. Hopefully it’ll come back at some point and I can stock up on it.
